The world looked a lot brighter when we were younger.
I look over at the sky, warm sun rays falling on my face. I grinned as I turn my head to look at Talia. She had a book in her hand as she was laying on her stomach reading. She looked so beautiful. I couldn't help but giggle as I stare at her.
I wish I was like her.
You killed her.
You killed her.
You killed me.
Screams, All I heard were screams. They wouldn't stop no matter how much I tried. I felt like ripping my ears apart as those screams got louder and louder.
And then, I woke up.
I placed a hand on my heart, trying to calm it down. My chest grew tight as I felt a bile rose in my throat. I kept sobbing until I couldn't. I take a deep breath as I wipe the tears and the cold sweat off my face. These dreams won't ever leave. I sigh as I lay back down in bed, only to stare at the empty ceiling. My brain had thousands of thoughts but at the same time, I couldn't understand any of them. So I stared blankly at the ceiling until the sun raised.
The ride on the way to school was silent, Uncle Chang had to go somewhere with my father so he won't be able to drive me to school for a while.
I look outside the window, towards the city, the busy streets, and people rushing to get to their jobs as soon as possible in the early morning. Street vendors opening up their shops. Children on their way to school. It was the same, nothing won't ever change about this world. It'll stay the same even if I won't be here. I take my headphones out and just decided to listen to music for the rest of the way to school.
I head to the rooftop as soon as I get off the car. Leaving my bag in the locker and bringing only my sketchbook with me. I desperately needed to be alone with my thoughts.
"Rain?" shit, so much for wanting to be alone.
"Ren," I replied.
He stood there smiling ever so slightly, with his hands in his pocket. I glare at him, expecting him to say something.
"Are you okay?" he said as he looked at me concerned.
"Why?" I asked, trying to study his face. He wasn't smiling anymore.
"I can tell you've been crying."
"You're not my friend anymore, remember?" He looked hurt as I let those words out. I'm surprised he can still tell if I cried even after years.
"I'm sorry." he sighed heavily before he apologised.
"I don't forgive you and I don't think I ever will," I replied blankly as I prepare to leave. Both of us fell silent for a moment before he decided to speak again.
"Rain, I miss us."
"There's no us anymore."
Having had enough of this conversation, I leave. As I'm making my way downstairs, I notice a bunch of notifications on my phone. All about the girl. As soon as I reached the classroom, most of the students were already running out to get to the old stadium as soon as possible. Eager to witness the torture. To witness the screams and cries of the victims of this damned school. I groan as I make my way towards my desk, and put my head down. I was way too tired to deal with this shit.

She's not coming back.
I sigh as I enter the room, I haven't entered in years. It was the same, I knew the maids came in frequently to clean it but nobody dared to touch anything. Books were laying on the bedside table, with bookmarks still exactly where she left them. Waiting to be picked up and read again. I look over at the pictures she had hung up on one side of the wall. We were all there. There were pictures of us at the lake, Ren's house and even at the park.
We were only kids, too young to go through what we did.
I sit down by her bed as I take the pictures in my hand, carefully going through all of them. There was one that caught my eye, I remember this one being her favourite.
This was when we went to the park together, there were so many butterflies at the park that day.
She loved butterflies.
