BACKSTORY !!
Zo'at was abandoned by their parents when they were very young, barely even capable of remembering the situation to its full extent. They were around 3. Zo'ats parents were very young, and had immense pressure on them while taking care of Zo'at. They figured that Zo'at would be able to find a better family on their own, and took them out to sea, making them believe that they were just 'going to train'. Zo'at had believed that they lost their parents after finding themselves stranded, alone. A young Ilu had found Zo'at, feeling their distress. They had been able to bond with Zo'at, and lead them to Awa'atlu, where Ronal took in Zo'at immediately. She had decided to adopt after thinking for a while, knowing that if she brought Zo'at back home, that they'd likely be neglected. At the time, she had already had her first child, but Ao'nung is still a few months younger than Zo'at.
