After Christmas (y/n) was relieved to return to Hogwarts away from the questions her mother continuously asked. All referring to the twins.

"I respect your decision even if I think it's slightly unorthodox since I prefer your happiness over everything else."

Or when she would ask

"Have they mentioned their mother? She will not reply to my owls about the situation. If we could just talk then it might get settled."

All that and the constant owls from Samantha wanting all the details on the topic had her head spinning. At least at school, she could focus on her homework.

"All I'm saying is if Mrs Weasley has any respect for her sons she'll at least try and be friendly." Fred nearly let out a laugh but stopped while professor sprout walked past.

"She hasn't been this angry and George and I have done some crazy stuff. But when something more attention-seeking comes up she'll calm down." Fred breathed out and (y/n) didn't say a word. This was the one topic she didn't want to talk about because it made her nervous and yet that's all people wanted to talk about. Not to mention the howler the twins got just before Christmas break. Everyone knew what Mrs Weasley thought of her.

"Hey, you alright?" Kate asked nudging (y/n) while the four of them were eating lunch.

"Yeah."

"I'm not sure about that." Samantha snorted pointing to the plate. (y/n) had been shaking salt onto her pumpkin soup and now a rather large salt mountain coated the top of the bowl. (y/n) dropped the salt sighing. "I think you just need a really good day." Samantha winked at her and (y/n) gave a small glare at her. It was true, (y/n) had only used five hours' worth of one vile so she could use the rest to perk her spirits up.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Galicia said and Samantha shrugged.

"Nothing. I just think the twins should be trying to cheer her up rather than running off to brew some potion on the lunch break." Samantha looked to the great hall entrance expecting them to show up any second.

"They had a free period doubt they noticed that lunch started. Probably using the potion ingredients I got them for Christmas." (y/n) glanced down to her necklace. They had explained that pressing the gem would give her directions to the twins throughout the castle. That light could only be seen by the person wearing the necklace or ring. She pressed down firmly to the gem and a blue light shot from it. The glow zoomed from her chest right through the great hall and turned right disappearing down the hall.

"What are you looking at?" Galicia asked now everyone joined in with looking out at the doorway.

"Nothing." pushing her now salty soup away she just grabbed a sandwich instead.

That afternoon was transfiguration which the class was full of everyone's frustration in making a tortoise into a trumpet. (y/n) although having made hers into a trumpet was trying to help George make him from a morphed trumpet with four legs. Although he didn't seem very interested in fixing it. Just laughing while watching the trumpet continually flop off the desk before (y/n) floated it back between them.

"Mr Weasley stop messing about and fix that trumpet." Professor McGonigal finally said while still trying to help another student with their tortoise.

"Do you know how to play a trumpet?" George asked turning the trumpet back to a tortoise. Then started trying again.

"Enough to follow a tune." There was a knock on the door followed by it opening to show Umbridge in her usual pink outfit and clipboard. Everyone looked between the two women. They were known for arguing whether students were around or not.

"Yes, what is it Delores?" The bluntness of the question made the room freeze and people had to stop themselves from snickering.

"I would like a word with you outside the classroom." Professor McGonigal stood up straight and walked out rather quickly and the class erupted in quiet conversation.

"Did you see the new decree put out at lunch?" George whispered and (y/n) shook her head.

"Boys and girls can't be six inches from each other."  A frown went over (y/n)'s face.

"Why?" George tried and failed to hold a laugh leaning in more.

"Have a good hard think." He had a smile and (y/n) thought for a moment longer before a blush coated her cheeks.

"Surely she doesn't think everyone one is doing that if they're the opposite gender." George shrugged glancing about the room that was steadily getting louder with different chatter.

"Well, she wouldn't want to just single out people when she could punish everyone. Besides not too long ago we hadn't done anything but now." His hand grazed up her leg forcing a shiver to run up her spine.

The door to the classroom opened once more.

"This is class, not the school halls. Not a single student is fooling around in my class. This is my classroom and since I hold the power over my class I will not be rearranging the seating." Professor McGonigal shut the door stomping back into the classroom. Seems Umbridge was going to change the seating for the whole classroom. After a moment of fuming by the door, Professor McGonigal turned to see the class staring at her. "Continue." She breathed and knowing her temper was already high everyone went back to work.

The rest of the class was left undisturbed until the bell went for the next class to begin. Umbridge was waiting just outside the door. She scared Roger Davies half to death when he left the classroom.

"Please leave a gap between the boys and girls or there will be consequences." (y/n) glanced back to George who was just behind her. "No that's three inches I said six." Umbridge stared as (y/n) walked out and a tape measurer was floating between her and George. "Keep going you don't want to be late for your next class." Her smile was unsettling to look at so (y/n) looked back down to the ground in front of her.

"Never thought there could be a worse teacher than Professor Snape." George breathed leaning back to see Umbridge still measuring students that left the classroom before wrapping an arm around (y/n)'s waist and taking her books from her hands.

"She is rather strict, isn't she? If she catches us we'll have detention again." She was worried that it might be worse than being forced into the forbidden forest at night. George just squeezed her waist.

"Don't worry there is only one of her and she's got a DAD lesson on the other side of the castle so she will be far away from us." With a still worried look (y/n) nodded going down to potions with George. Which wasn't any better.

"Everyone sit down and if I hear a single word uttered you'll have detention." Something told (y/n) Professor Snape also had a visit from Umbridge last period also.
