Bakugou was the first to enter the class this Monday morning, sitting in his usual spot near the window. He had been looking forward to todays class as he was up all night studying for class 1-A's next test, taking place the following day. On the outside, Bakugou was confident as he could be. He knew he was the best and showed it, but on the inside he had a ping of fear with the thought of Todoroki surpassing him. He always feared the day would come where Shoto was just a little bit better. No, he knew this would happen. He just didn't expect it to be so soon.
Deep in thought, Katsuki barely noticed the class had started until he saw Iida raise his hand. "Sir, shouldn't we have time to practice in the field before our testing?" The annoying class rep asked. Bakugou was quick to shout back "shut it smart ass! Imagine needing practice!" Mister Aizawa could do nothing but sigh, knowing this would be another insufferable day for him. "Bakugou, please raise your hand. And Iida, I'm sorry but you had all break to practice. You all live in the same building. If you really took this seriously, you would have practiced then." Bakugou smiled in triumph, knowing he'd been one of the only ones to practice and study over their spring break. He was on his A-game with the weather increasing along with his confidence. "Alright, everybody listen up." Mister Aizawa stated, "the brackets have been decided by the other teachers and I, the pairings will be presented on the field board. 'This is it' Bakugou thought to himself. 'Time to prove I'm the best! Once and for all.'

Bakugou was the first out of his seat and to the field, not even waiting for class to be dismissed. Aizawa didn't bother stopping him, it was a common occurrence of bakugou to get up in the middle of class, and almost daily for him to leave first, but the teachers couldn't care less as he was a straight A student. Once Bakugou had entered the field, he saw the ranks plastered in bright white letters. While scanning for his name he caught a glace of Shoto's first fight. "DEKU?!" Bakugou exploded in shock and nervousness. No way could Deku fight Shoto before he could. They might just have a repeat of the festival. Sparks went off in Bakugou's head as he remembered the events of that sorry day. After a while of his mini tantrum he set his bag aside and began to stretch. He was a bit worried at the fact they couldn't use their customized suits, but his fears soon wavered as sweat dripped from his forehead in the wind-free air. When he had a chance, he glanced up at his classroom spotting a certain red and white haired prick. Bakugou couldn't help but scoff at the sight. He knows Todoroki has been growing in his fire ability, and is thrilled for a real fight. 'Its about time we did this right.' With a smirk at the idea of blasting Shoto into the ground fair and square, he finishes up his warm up, destined for success.
