A Quick Turn to the Worst

Chapter 39 - Freedom?

 Liz looked confused and surprised at the same time, "What-?" Both Liz and Gaster said, "How does the kid not have the so- Oh wait, we need 8 human souls-" Liz realized, "Yeah, so we were gonna see if you-" . "No." . "But we-" . "NO." . "Liz, Cmon-" . "NEIN, I am not going to try and break the barrier, there might be.. Another way." Liz said.

Everyone was sitting down around Liz, "So there are monsters that were dosed up on magic from the core that were assigned to help protect the underground, and this journal has them all listed. So if we get them then maybe-"

Liz looked at the barrier with Ace and Zack by her sides, "I can't wait to see sunlight for the first time!" Zack said, "I can't promise that the barrier will break." Cori said. Liz looked at the others next to her and gave a small nod, "Are you guys ready?" Liz asked. They all nodded before Gaster Blasters started appearing everywhere, their plan was for the human to give them determination as they were attempting to break the barrier, so it would actually work.

There were hundreds of Gaster Blasters in the room they were in, "3..2..1" Liz said as she fired hers, Ace and Zack followed and fired theirs too. The human was determined to break the barrier and that determination had flowed through the room.

*BOOM*

The barrier had.. Shattered? They were free, Liz even walked through to make sure it was real and it was. It wasn't too long before every monster in the underground had heard the news that the barrier was broken and that they were free. The news spread quickly.

After about an hour everyone in town was rallied up, they were all outside of the barrier room. After another rough hour, they were led outside to freedom. Although the barrier was broken some monsters didn't want to leave, they were too used to the underground and had already made it their home. Others didn't even bother to pack and ran out into the open world.
