the devoun n koneko story like. in late 2021/early 2022 was so fucked up
for devoun
mf had to see his family get killed, get kidnapped by wayfind, get trapped and tortured for most of his life, had to do shit against his own will, had to play the game of life and death multiple times, had to kill his only friend (koneko) twice, had to get haunted by konekos sadistic ass ghost for multiple weeks and was meant to stay alone at the end of the book
for koneko
he had to be on guard 24/7 because one wrong move could get him killed, had to kill people against his will, nearly got shot in the head by his own boss, stabbed devoun in the stomach because he had to, not because he wanted to, had to stay hidden his entire life, got burnt alive by his own friend (devoun), had to come back as a sadistic ghost that wanted to harm devoun, and died a painful death twice. first one being. well. burning alive and the second one being evaporated out of existence. which hurts a fuck ton probably
the story in 2023 doesnt even go as far as this. sure theres gruesome deaths and manipulation in it but i dont think it goes that far like. holy fuck.
