Through The Dark - Ziam/Niam

Chapter Three

Liam's POV:

'Shit shit shit shit shit shit' Zayn muttered continuously as he stood, fretting at the door of my room. Niall had scittered to the other end of the bed, seemingly terrified of me and Zayn, hugging his knees to his chest.

Whoa... I had just kissed Niall. And I think it was the best fucking kiss of my life. 'Zayn.. what's wrong?' I asked curiously. Zayn scowled, and ignored me, continuing to curse every four-letter words he could think of. 'Zayn!'

'WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK'S WRONG?!' He yelled at me. I blinked, and I felt my heart begin to pound in my chest, and my eyes were briefly stunned with tears. 

'Listen, what do you have against me and Niall?' I snapped, jumping off my bed, and walking over to Zayn. Zayn backed away from me, looking everywhere but me and Niall. 

'Don't touch me' he said, 'don't touch me. Don't touch me' 

I rolled my eyes, and held a firm hand round his wrist, stopping him from leaving. Zayn's eyes widened, and he shut his eyes for a moment, then snapped them open again, and tore my grip from his. 'You twat!' Zayn yelled suddenly. By this time, I heard Louis and Harry's footsteps thundering up the stairs.

'Zayn just tell me what's wrong!' I persisted. Zayn just continued to shake his damn head, mumbling under his breath, until he finally stumbled out the room, then broke out at a run, down the stairs, shoving past Harry and Louis, and barging through the front door, slamming it behind him. 

There was a small pause of stunned silence, then Niall spoke, his voice rusty and scared. 'Liam? Sh-shall I go?' he whispered. I turned to him, tears dropping out my eyes one after the other. 

'No. Niall. Don't I whispered. Harry and Louis walked into the room, looking confused. Niall was shaking, badly.

Saddest thing I had ever seen. 'D'you... want us to leave?' Harry asked gesturing to him and Lou. I nodded. They left the room slowly, shutting the door quietly. I turned to Niall, and walked over to him, and enveloped him into a warm hug. I shut my eyes, and let tears fall.

'I feel so guilty. First Danielle, now Zayn' I whispered. Niall hugged me tighter. 'Help, Niall'

He sighed, and let go of me, and looked into my eyes longingly. 'How?' he asked softly. I shrugged, biting my lip.

'I don't know, Niall. I just don't know any more' I grumbled, rubbing my face, exhausted. 'I've lost the love of my life, and now my bandmate hates me. And you...?'

I broke off awkwardly, but Niall smiled slightly, and stood up, and sat next to me on my bed, and took my hands in his, rubbing patterns into my knuckles. 'Liam, just think about what I just did. Will it take you long to realise how I feel about you?'

I hesitated, then I clocked it. 'You like me. Don't you? More than a friend' I whispered. Niall nodded, playing with my hair. 

'And I know you'll agree that that kiss was the best you've had in a while. It's certainly the best I've ever had' Niall said, raising his eyebrows. I raised my own, and pulled him closer to me. 

'Yeah. Yeah I guess it was. It felt... right.' I said. I was blushing, and so was Niall, but when he blushed, it felt cute to watch. 'But the timing was possibly the worst I've ever known'

Niall sighed again, nodding slowly. 'S'pose. But Liam, now you're single, I just couldn't hold it i-'

I pressed a finger to his lips to silence him. 'Don't, Niall. Don't make things any more complicated. Just kiss me'

Zayn's POV:

Holy crap. Niam Horayne. I thought all that bromance stuff was a whole load of shit. But now it was real... not that I was jealous or anything. You know... it was just... Liam. And Niall. Man that kid drove me crazy sometimes. He really did. And to see the two of them so close, so sickeningly happy together made me want to vomit. I thought Niall was straight! And it the day after Liam's crashed wedding! I mean... how crazy was that?! And now... they were both gay.
