❝︎ 𝐅𝐔𝐂𝐊...︎𝐈 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐊 𝐈'𝐌 𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐓. ❞︎
Your prior anticipation of the current situation did nothing to quell your worries. After following your phone's GPS for nearly five miles from the airport and through Seoul with a ten-pound suitcase, three ferrets, and a parrot in tow, you were lost and exhausted—exhausted enough to have even considered wasting money on an off-brand Uber.
"What if I mistyped the address? Or they don't allow pets?"
Narrowing your eyes slightly, you pulled your phone out of your pocket, hurriedly unlocking it before frantically scrolling through the app. With everything appearing to check out, you tuck your phone away in your jacket and idly stare out at the nearby street. You sigh inwardly, imagining how awkward you probably looked to the endless passersby; some weirdly dressed foreigner awkwardly standing on the sidewalk dragging a suitcase that had clearly been overstuffed with everything except clothing, not to mention the three live ferrets and parrot in their messenger bag constantly poking their heads out and looking in all directions.
Unlike in America, you didn't have to worry about every stranger within a ten meter radius asking for permission to touch any of your pets. Still, you were certain that your pets in question were almost entirely responsible for the millisecond-too-long glances you had frequently been getting since your arrival in the country.
You had yet to spot the silver Sonata that was supposed to have saved you from your own social awkwardness by now. Growing confused, you angle your wrist up slightly and watch as the screen of your smartwatch lights up and displays the current time.
