*fuck the synopsis. I forgot that's how I was 'pose to write it. So I ended up doing something kinda different. But I wanna keep it going how it is.*LOOK AT THAT😫!
"I love you, JoJo," you said genuinely.
"I love you more, ma," his voice came through the speaker of your MacBook Pro.
You and Jo were talking on JPay, right now. You'd been talking for a while, which wasn't a problem for you. You would have gone to the prison to see him, and you wanted to. But you were stuck in Delaware, working. You're an Entrepreneur. You own a cosmetic business, selling lipgloss, lip and body scrubs, body butter, and eyelashes. You also sold other accessories, necklaces, bracelets, and scrunchies.
And that left you at home packaging orders. A lot of orders."Jo Jo?"
"Yes?"
"I'm gonna come back like next week, and I'll stay for like four days." You smiled as he smiled.
"Aight, say no more. You got the key. Stay at the house." He looked at you sternly, "I'm serious, (your name). Don't spend ya money at no hotel."
A little while into your relationship, Jo asked for his mom to meet you and give you a key to his house.
As he said, he doesn't want you spending hella money at some overly expensive hotel. Especially when you could just stay at his place, where you have to spend no money.
At first, you were reluctant. You did want to invade his home, especially when he wasn't there. But he wouldn't take no for an answer. He even threatens to take you off the waiting list until you agreed. You knew he was bluffing. But you agreed anyway." I hear you."
"What's wrong, ma?" He inquired cautiously, not wanting to upset you any further.
Even though you've stayed there countless times, you still aren't comfortable. Maybe it was because he wasn't there with you. But that's neither here nor there. You were just counting down the days until he was home.
"I don't like goin' to ya house without you there. It's weird. And I'm uncomfortable without you."
He smirked, "Ohhh! So you like me, like me." It was a statement.
"No," you said with a straight face. His smile dropped, "'Cause I love you, love you," you finished.
He was cheesing like a pre-schooler on picture day.
"Bae..." you hummed and gave him your attention. "When you gon' move up here? Fa'real."
"When you gon' get out? Fa'real," your witty response made him drop his smile.
He playfully rolled his eyes.
"I'm serious, tho. When you get out I'll move." You smiled at each other.
It was silent for a minute. Just the two of you looking at the other, with smiles.
"Baby, we could have phone sex?" He asked while still smiling.
You stopped smiling, "Johnny, go to sleep, bro"
"So now I'm ya bro?"
"Bye, Johnny," you acted like you were about to hang up.
"Stop playin', (your name)." Now he was serious.
"Okay I'm sorry, Daddy," you looked at him innocently. But you were far from it when it came to Jo Jo.
He just leaned back in his seat, taking a big breath. Then he exhaled out his nose, blowing raspberries. "Yo, stop dat shit."
"Jo, I was serious when I asked when you gettin' out."
"6 mum'fs tops."
You rolled your eyes while blowing hot air. That was extremely too long. You were ready to see your man without a slab of glass separating you. You wanted to hug him, kiss him, you wanted to fuck him, too.
"But I could get out sooner on good behavior."
"Then I better wait that six months," you said so seriously. But he looked at you confused about what you meant. "I know you. You not gettin' out on no damn good behavior." You gave a small eye roll.
Not at him, at the situation and the fact that you'd most likely have to wait 6 months — or longer if he gets into serious trouble — because Jo's grown ass doesn't know how to behave sometimes.
So maybe it was at him."I'm trying now. I don't wanna spend another 6 mum'fs in here." He was serious. "Just believe in me? Please?" Now, he looks like a sad puppy.
"Okay. I'm counting on you to try your hardest."
He nodded. "I love you, (your name). Like deadass."
You smiled, "I know, right? I love me, too." You flipped your imaginary hair because your actual hair was wrapped in a scarf and bonnet. He didn't respond. He only sat there staring at you. You rolled your eyes, "I was playin', Johnny, damn. Take some chill pills."
"Whatever, bro," he said after sitting up in his seat.
"So I'm ya bro now?" you said trying and failing to make your voice as deep as his to mock him.
He snorted. He was smiling again.
"For real, tho, I love you more."
"I know, right? I love me, too," he mocked you.
