"WHY THE HELL DID THEY ASK AN F AND C RANKER TO DO THIS OH MY GOSH."

"SARAH FUCKING PAY ATTENTION."

June slams into my side, her nails digging into my forearms. I wince in pain and dig my nails back at her in hopes that maybe we'll stick together if we cling onto each other for our dear, precious, fragile lives. The demon cackles in its little corner, mocking us as we tried to avoid the patches of lava appearing on the lush carpeting. Lurkers use our deepest fears and twist them to psychologically torment us; I think my fear of the game "The Floor is Lava" got us into this situation, but I'll never admit it. Lord knows it might even be June's fear too.

The pink, lush carpeting we were standing on seemed to shrink even more as we shrieked. The little pink-horned demon cackled, it's little arms holding its tummy in pain. That little ducker was having fun at our expense...

A new wave of dizziness hits me and my stomach growls a loud complaint. My shaking hands reach towards the blue wax pencil while June searched for a notepad she kept on her for Sealing evaluations. The heat was unbearable to say the least; the lava's bubbling surface kept filling the room, roaring flames licking our ankles like anxious puppies, and the screaming of Catherine and Courtney kept reverberating within my painful mind.

I sigh and sharpen my wax pencil."Guess I'm not sleeping anymore."

"Here--let's get this over with and maybe the Society will be gracious enough to give you some sleeping pills," June said, nudging my side with her standard mini composition notebook.

I roughly sketched out some protection and cooling circles, slapping them roughly on both our necks before stripping down into just my tank top and compression shorts. The relief was instant (thank the almighty pasta gods), and June practically glared at the little bastard before taking out a metal rod and lengthening it into a metal board. I slapped some cooking seals on her feet and on the nape of her neck before she took off running on her makeshift board towards the demon.

Almost as soon as she took off, a tidal wave of lava emerged from God-knows-where and began its rush towards us. My stomach feels like there's a small chicken Little running around and panicking about a fiery sky falling (WHICH IT WAS) and I'm honestly reconsidering this whole business, I mean they give you insurance and all, but this is so much shit. Maybe I should contribute more to this situation, but I've already drawing hundreds of cooling circles; so I'm perfectly fine with curling up on the ground and openly sobbing.

Suddenly, I hear a screech, something being smashed into, and then silence. Standing up again, I briefly noticed the lava receding from the carpeting along with the Lurker's full head smashed into the wall near June.
