Wrenley's POV
It's been about three weeks since Matteo and I's lake day with his family. In that time I've begun working very hard on my social media project for Aurelia, and of course, spending a lot of time with Matteo. Mainly consisting of fun dates, deep and shallow talks, as well as sleeping in his room. Though not doing too much more than sleeping.Currently at this moment, I'm working in the castle library with the man who is pretty much my partner in the project, Dean. The fact that this is the first reason I've truly spent some time with all these books is an absolute travesty. Though in my defense, romance and fantasy are not exactly popular genres for a royal's book collection. It's mainly non fiction and historical, which is great for research, not so much for fun.
Dean has actually been very helpful when it comes to knowing good places to visit for pictures and how to go about my conversations with the other Aurelian's. He's only one year younger than me and would do great at leading this project on his own but he seems pretty set on staying second in command. Which feels frightening, yet, so far I really haven't been doing a bad job at being in charge.
Currently we're sending out invites to business owners from every region of Aurelia. We need at least one representative of each to get the support for truly making this page work. The plan is for a meeting to go on in about a month from now, but we'll see what ends up happening.
Along side the invites, Dean and I have also done posts for the castle and capital city that we are putting out on our page as testers. If they do well, than we'll have a sort of prototype to show for the rest of the parts. That way a lot of these buisness owners can not only see what the plan is, but also that it's something worth doing.
Our page so far is going really well, with hitting just over 10,000 followers and about half a million likes. It's a really great start, and better yet, I enjoy it. With each picture, I end up trying to tell a small story, one that people can practically live out if they visit here. I'm using imagination and creativity while staying me and in reality. Surprisingly, it's a great fit that even acting didn't slide into as nicely.
Hearing a yawn from Dean, I look up from the computer to see him staring blankly at his. Deciding it might be time to call it a night, I tell him to go rest and that I'll see him tomorrow. He gives me an appreciative smile and then leaves to his home with his husband Hubert. Hubert is the main reason that Matteo stopped giving Dean a "secretive" death glare every time he walked with me to meet him.
Speaking of Matteo, he told me that he wanted to meet me up here in what will probably be a few minutes. Wanting to also be finished for the night, I pack up my things and spend the rest of my time waiting in the middle of a vast book collection.
The library is one that you would expect to be in a castle, very large and rivaling the size of the public options I normally visit. I go in search for the fictional section, making it all the way to the middle shelves, when I hear steps walk into the room. "Wrenley," a familiar voice shouts out.
Instead of answering back like a normal person, I choose to hide and have a little fun. Hide and Seek seems like an amazing idea in this library, especially with the amount of room and hidden spots. Plus, if he catches me, theres three walk ways that are splitting up the two rows of books. One on each side and one in the middle, my chances look pretty good.
"Sweetheart, I know you're there, I can hear your creepy laughter," he calls out and his voice sounds closer. I quickly shut my mouth in surprise, I wasn't aware that I was laughing out loud. Usually when it comes to these things the evil laughter is only in my head.
Trying my best to keep quiet, I move towards the end of the shelf instead of towards the middle where he's coming down. "Alright, so we're going to play it this way. I believe I still owe your arse from that morning a few weeks ago. It will make the perfect reward for catching you," he says and his voice sounds like it's turning devious.
