Rip Wheeler

The drive was longer than anticipated. John wanted to confirm a contract. The process took a longer and a lot more screams than I wanted, but John got what he wanted.
I turned onto the street leading into the nearest town. Trying to find the next exit to the highway. Only for a woman to run into the middle of the road.Stopping right when the hood of the truck was about to her. "Shit".
"M'am are you all right" . Her head snapped up when I asked. She didn't even hear the truck door close.
When I tried to step closer. She jumped. She was shivering. Trying to hide the rips in her clothes. The bruises. The handprints. The blood. I have only seen that much blood in my life. She looks like a ghost walking upon the living.Every movement of the night caused to look behind her. If she was looking for someone.
She was scared. So I said, "Climb in,"
I slowly walked back to the truck and opened the door. She stood there just letting the rain patter onto her. She stopped shaking. Looked behind her one last night and ran into the truck, slamming the door closed. Just sitting there looking outside the window.
I walked around making sure no one was watching, before climbing in. She still jumped, even when I sat down and started the truck.
Driving and slowly turning on the heat, seemed to make her relax, but didn't stop her from looking at each storefront we passed. She kept her eyes on me, every move I made, trying to figure what I would do next.
When I try to look at her, she would look away, picking at the dried blood on her clothes.
We were driving for an hour when I finally asked "What's your name?" This surprised her, making eye contact for the first time that night. She gulped trying to figure out her words. "M...Mary"
"Mary that's a nice name, but I know your lying Mary if that's your real name".This makes her eyes go wide, pressing herself closer to the door. Planning an escape if need be.
"But all I ask is one truth, just one thing." Holding up my finger "Mary. Where is the Man that did this to you?"

(Not going to lie I was very nervous to write in his p.o.v. He is very complicated character)
