A/N: ignore any jumbled up lore. thank you!June 26th, sometime in the 1980s
Something about your birthday had always put you off. You didn't know if it was the weird, awkward feeling of standing there while everybody sang "Happy Birthday" to you or that gross feeling you got at present time when everybody's eyes were on you.
Either way, something about this Birthday had especially put you off. Your parents had convinced you that having a birthday party at this freaky ass animatronic pizza place would be a good idea. You disagreed, but your parents liked the idea of cheap food and entertainment for the young kids, so that's what you got. Happy Fazbirthday...
Of course, since you were there, your little brother Gabriel was there too. You sat at a table, chatting with your friends about how scary-looking the robots on stage were. You were glad that they were at least able to come so you didn't have a completely horrible time. You could barely hear what any of them were saying over the sound of the overly-loud animatronics on stage and other people talking and playing. Every so often, you'd look out among the crowd of children and see your little brother running about and playing, only catching small glimpses of him as he ran around.
You were in the middle of staring at the weirdly stained tablecloth when one of your friends made a face and said, "Ew, look at that ugly mascot costume. If that thing came near me I would immediately start crying. How do the kids like that thing?"
You looked over and caught a glimpse of a crudely made mascot costume. The golden bunny was scarily ugly, the suit almost looked handmade. You copied the same face your friend had made and shook your head, "Oh god, that's horrifying!"
Your friends laughed and you looked away from the rabbit, laughing and joking with them. You caught one more glance of Gabriel and some friend he made running past your group and towards the rabbit. He always had a thing for this place! Of course he would love that kind of thing. Your parents were on the other side of the room. Their backs were turned towards the rabbit. Your backs were turned towards the rabbit. Nobody else paid attention to the rabbit.
This rabbit was a rather opportunistic guy, and with a little convincing (and promises of presents and cake), your brother easily trusted him, following him around like a duckling.
That was the last you'd ever see of Gabriel ever again.
