Chapter Three: Rebekah Mikaelson

After I had performed the spell on Davina, I went back to check on Phoebe. She was sleeping and Klaus brought me into a different room, questioning me about his brother. He obviously didn't know what had happened. "Why haven't you contacted my brother? You're more in love with each other, than me and your sister are." He slightly teased.

"Elijah was the person that Esther had on the inside." I spoke quickly, not wanting to speak on this subject any longer. Klaus shook his head, not believing a single word. "Not possible. He loved you more than anything." He denied my statement, shaking his head.

Clenching my teeth, I looked up at him with pain and hatred in my eyes. "He shoved a knife through my heart, Klaus. His intentions were pretty clear." I told him through gritted teeth.

I turned to leave, but he sped in front of me. "Then my mother did something to him." He defended. I scuffed, crossing my arms. Just two weeks ago they wanted to kill each other, now he was trying to convince me that his brother was some saint, and that what happened -which he never witnessed- wasn't his fault. That it was Esther's doing.

"I know my brother. He wouldn't betray his family." He told me with confidence. "Well then I guess it's a good thing that I was never a part of his family." I walked past him out of the room, and down the hallway.

"I see the way he looks at you, Rose. My brother has had girlfriends in the past, but even in the short time that the two of you have been together never have I seen him look at someone the way he looks at you." I ignored him, walking out of the house and onto the porch.

I didn't want to listen to how he looked at me lovingly. How I was his family. He looked me in the eye as I laid there bleeding out. Nothing was going to change how much I hated him.

"Are you the witch?" A boy walked onto the porch. I shook my head. Did the ancestors not heed my warning? "Depends on who's asking." He smiled happily, taking a step closer.

I eyed him suspiciously. He couldn't have been over the age of sixteen. "Sabine told me that you were the one to ask for help with complicated spells." He smiled happily.

I leaned my head back groaning. Could my day get any worse? "Oh, were just letting anyone in these days?" I turned my head to see a blond original walking up the steps glaring at us. I spoke too soon. "Klaus is upstairs with my sister." I told her ignoring the random boy to my left.

She nodded walking into the house when she stopped, turning to look back at me. "You're the woman that claimed to be a part of this family. The one that Elijah told me about." She eyed me up and down. I tensed. Elijah knew about me?

I turned to the boy in front of me. "Leave." I commanded. Turning back to Rebekah, motioning for her to follow me I walked past her into the house. I didn't need whoever this boy was to know our personal business. She closed the door behind her, and I walked down the hallway trying to find Klaus.

"Klaus!" He was by my side in a second. Turning to face his sister, he looked at her confused. "Elijah called you, didn't he?" She crossed her arms sighing. "Of course he did." He mumbled, already over her fake sarcasm.

She scuffed. "Well, I can't find him, and since he's the only reason I'm here-" Klaus took a step towards her, a grin plastered on his face. "Are you sure that a little vampire named Marcel isn't why you're here?" He chuckled to himself while Rebekah's anger grew.
