"I'm the one who wants to be with you
Deep inside I hope you feel it, too
Waiting on a line of greens and blues
Just to be the next to be with you"

Meg Griffin stopped her walk home from school immediately, noticing the heavenly voice singing the rock classic. "Hmm?"

"Come on, baby
Come on over
Let me be the one to show you!"

Meg looked around but couldn't find anyone until she noticed a dark skinned girl about her age, watering a flower garden and singing loudly.

The teenager stopped singing and hummed until apparently a different song popped into her head because she began singing Aerosmith.

Meg was gobsmacked by her voice. She sounded like a siren. It worked to drag Meg from the sidewalk to the pathway. Before the brown haired seventeen year old knew it, she was in the grass and reaching out to tap the young girl on her back.

Which was a mistake as the girl jumped and spun around to punch Meg in the face.

Meg jerked back and covered her now bloody nose.

The girl took her earbuds out and covered her mouth. "Oh snap! I'm so sorry!"

"It's okay." Meg smiled miserably. Of course she got punched in the face.

"No! It's my bad. Here. Come inside." The girl threw her watering hose into the flower patch and grabbed Meg's hand. She pulled her into the cool home and shut the door. "Take off your shoes please."

Meg looked at her like she was crazy.

The girl removed her flip-flops and raced out of sight.

Meg put her backpack on the floor and took off her shoes. If she was going to die here, at least the girl was nice. She looked around a bit and saw the home (from what she could see) was beautiful.

The living area was right next to the foyer and was blue and cream colored with rich brown hardwood floors. The foyer was white tile with a long winding staircase.

She couldn't see much else but the house was very large.

The girl returned with an armful of objects. "Here." She held out a white bag of ice.

"I don't want to get it bloody." Meg demurred.

"It's an ice pack, chick." The girl gave her an amused look. "Besides, it won't be there long."

Meg took the bag and put it in her face, wincing from the pain.

The girl opened a first aid kit and began taking things out. When she was done, she began to fix up Meg's face.

When she was done, Meg was surprised it hurt less. "Thanks."

"No problem. It shouldn't have happened." The girl returned the bag to Meg's face. "Are you thirsty?"

"Thirsty?"

"Yeah. You should stay hydrated. It's very hot out."

Meg chuckled. She didn't even know why. The girl was right. It was hot out, being May. "I'll take whatever you got."

"That's a lot but I'll grab you tea."

"Oh?" Meg was shocked. No one in Quahog drank tea really.

"It's iced sweet tea because I don't drink hot stuff really and it's sweet cuz I don't put bitter shit in my mouth."

Meg was startled into laughing lightly. "Okay."

"Be right back. You can sit in there if you want." The girl pointed to the living area.
