"I know how close they were. I watched their every move. I even took some pictures."

Beomgyu sat all alone in his dorm. In his temporary isolation, he reminisced the time he first met Yeonjun. It was in 2016. A beautiful sunny day in Seoul, South Korea. He had just passed the Big Hit audition and he was nervous to his stomach. Butterflies flew inside him as he began to greet the trainees to the best of his ability. Although all of them were nice, one stood out to him above everyone. Choi Yeonjun. Beomgyu knew head and heart after looking at the boy once that he was unique. The trainee was very handsome, tall, and insanely talented. Beomgyu watched in awe while Yeonjun came up to practice freestyle. He recalls clapping the loudest out of everyone. That goes to show that Yeonjun was his role model for many years. He remembers showering with Yeonjun as the two grew closer. It was everyday that Beomgyu and Yeonjun would practice together at the company. While everyone loved Yeonjun, there was nobody who Yeonjun liked better than Beomgyu. At least that's what Beomgyu deduced considering the countless times he's made Yeonjun laugh from his corny jokes. Beomgyu prayed everyday he would debut in the same group as Yeonjun so they can be together forever. Newsflash, it happened. But nowadays, Beomgyu can't help but regret being chosen to debut with Yeonjun. He made a terrible mistake and now he can't talk to Yeonjun whatsoever without arguments. He has attempted to apologize multiple times but to no avail. That means Beomgyu has to continue pretending to be Yeonjun's friend on camera. He couldn't stand being fake like that. One more time, he thought of all the fun times he shared with Choi Yeonjun, the awesome trainee. He missed those times very much. Beomgyu had other amazing friends, but nobody was as special as Yeonjun. He got up in a jiffy, put on his shoes, and made his way to the HYBE building. Practice was soon, and he wanted to apologize and have it be his last.
"Yeonjun! Hey! Stop running!" Beomgyu shouted only to see Yeonjun run faster in the halls away from him. "Yeonjun, wait! I said I was sorry. " He pleaded. Yeonjun then stopped and turned around as Beomgyu walked over. His heart was beating swiftly but he managed to look Yeonjun in the eye. He knew there was a good chance this wouldn't end well.
"I don't care! What you did was wrong. I don't ever think I could go back to trusting you." Yeonjun murmured. His arms were crossed, pressing on his chest. He had tried to tell Beomgyu a million times.
"Listen, I know I was wrong for mocking your singing and rapping. I know it's a big insecurity you have, but it's been almost a year." Beomgyu counterattacked, trying to be as clear as possible.
"Who gives a care if its been a year? I told you I was uncomfortable with you doing that and my singing part was on TikTok for months!" Yeonjun exclaimed.
"I know, this is why I'm sorry but I miss our friendship. I promise I won't ever do it again." Beomgyu was close to crying. Something inside him wouldn't let it out, however.
"It's not about what you will do in the future, it's about what you did in the past." Yeonjun's eyes pierced through Beomgyu's. He was serious.
"I know, I realized what I did was wrong and I haven't done it since the concert."
"But why did you think to mock me in front of our members at all?" It was beyond Yeonjun how Beomgyu could even dare to make fun of him like that. Granted, it was a joke according to Beomgyu, but he was still insecure about his voice. To add another layer, Beomgyu knew about Yeonjun's insecurity.
"I don't know. It was a bad idea. I'm truly sorry." Beomgyu said under his breath and looked down. He couldn't face Yeonjun any longer. His head turned at the clock nearby. 5 PM. They had to practice right now. Saved by the bell!
"Even if I forgave you, I don't know if we could ever go back to how close we were." Yeonjun replied as he put his arms down. Beomgyu had no clue what to say back. He simply let out a sigh. The boys were suddenly interrupted by the swinging of the door to their right. It was their bandmate Taehyun.
"Can you two stop arguing? We need to practice!"
"Let's go practice for our comeback." Yeonjun told Beomgyu then walked past him into the practice room with Taehyun. Beomgyu thought back on the exchange he and Yeonjun just had. It was as clear as glass to him that he couldn't win back Yeonjun's friendship easily. His mind wandered like a nomad. What is the solution to this? As Taehyun motioned Beomgyu to come into the practice room, the visual member of TXT came to the conclusion that his friendship with Yeonjun would never be restored. Or will it?
