It was dead silent as the three of them started to walk, following the small Kanade Yoiskai. So small Mizuki could almost laugh.

"Uhm..Kanade. You said that you got lost right? Do you know where we are going?" Ena began to ask, getting worried. She knew where the cabin was by heart, but she was always worried about going to far. They haven't ran into any hermit hunters, Mizuki was starting to get a little worried.

"Yes," Kanade answered confidently, "I know Mafuyu's scent, so I can track her down. She's still safe right now...I hope."

"Mafuyu...that's her name?" Mizuki butted in. Kanade smiled at them and nodded. "If you don't mind me asking, how did she get really imjured?"

"She's...been injured for a couple weeks."

Mizuki and Ena were shocked. Before they could react, Kanade continued. "It wasn't that bad at first, at least that's what she claimed, but then I foolishly believed her and let it get worse. That's when I got desperate and started to look everywhere for something to help her. I'm sorry again.."

"No! No!" Ena put her hand on Kanade's shoulder for comfort. Mizuki put their hand on Kanade's other shoulder to help too, but kept quiet. "There's no need to be sorry anymore. We are here to help!"

Ena had made sure to bring her med kit. She put extra supplies inside just incase the disinfectant was not enough to help the person injured, or shall they be called Mafuyu. Kanade smiled.

"I'm grateful. Thank you.."

Ena smiled.

"No problem! Why don't we get to know each other while walking?" Mizuki suggested. They all agreed as they continued to walk.

"Here," Kanade pointed as she quickly went under a large, bent down tree. It seemed to have gotten old and fall apart on itself. When Ena and Mizuki walked it, they saw that under that tree was a short, but safe place. In the middle, laid the tall but injured Mafuyu Asahina.

"That's bad.." Mizuki mumbled, taking the med kit from Ena.

"Huh? You'll do it?" Ena gasped. Mizuki shrugged and went closer to the suffering patient, whimpering even if the air touched her.

Mizuki gently lifted her arm and slid her long sleeve to the top of her shoulder, exposing her whole arm. Mafuyu hissed as they started to put products on her arm to prevent infection. She was dressed somewhat like Kanade, but her clothes were more baggy, so this was no problem.

Kanade smiled. "I'm so glad she's at least awake. She's been silent ever since.."

Ena smiled and went over to Kanade, rubbing circles on her back, maybe to comfort her more. Mizuki covered the open cuts through Mafuyu's torn clothes with bandages, trying to prevent air from getting in. Mafuyu's hisses turned into whimpering in pain. Kanade started to get worried.

"Hmm.." Mizuki started to think. Then they got up and smiled. "That should do! Me and Ena will stay until she's awake. I can sew up her clothing so they aren't ripped up anymore!"

Kanade smiled and hugged Mizuki gently. "Thank you!"

Mizuki ruffled the smaller one's hair. "No problem small one hehe ♪"

Kanade looked up at them. Ena rolled her eyes. "They're just teasing you.."

Kanade laughed a little. "I see."

"K-Kana..."

"Mafuyu?!" Kanade rushed to the taller one's side, lifting her head a little.

"Kanade? What's happening? I don't only hear your voice anymore," Mafuyu mumbled. The girl wakes up.

Mafuyu sits up a little before looking around. "People..? People?!"

"Don't get up! They're good! They helped us...well...YOU!" Kanade reassured her. Mafuyu gave her a confused look.

"I was trespassing on their land, and told them that you needed help...so they agreed to help me patch you up so you won't die..! I'm sorry I wasn't good eno—"

"Thank you, Kanade. You're more than good enough," Mafuyu smiled a little. Kanade's expression changed.

Mafuyu looked up at Ena and Mizuki. "Hello, first and second hermits. If Kanade trusts you, I trust you. Thank you for helping me."

Mizuki smiled. "No problem!"

Ena bowed. "Kanade, make sure you two are careful. Me and Mizuki will head out now."

"Oh, but I want to show my thanks!" Kanade quickly ran up to Ena.

"You can show with words."

"No, showing with actions is actually showing. Please, stay for dinner!"

"Huh?" Ena questioned. Kanade went to Mizuki.

"Please? If I don't see you again, I'll just feel somewhat guilty. Mafuyu wouldn't mind it."

"Oh? I don't mind!" Mizuki smiled. Ena sighed at Mizuki. "Come on Ena! They're other hermits."

Ena groaned. "God..you trust to easily."

"I...don't have much though..." Kanade looked away. Mizuki felt a little more bad. From the looks of it and what happened with Mafuyu, they could tell that those two have been struggling a lot.

"Hmm..don't worry about that," Mizuki smiled. "Ena! I need to talk to you."

"Hm?" Mizuki began to lead Ena outside.

"We'll be back!"

"What is it, Mizuki?" Ena crossed her arms.

"We should let them stay for a couple days."

"What?! Are you crazy?!"

"A couple days, Ena. They're struggling a lot and they shouldn't be left alone especially after this injury with Mafuyu. I know this is a risk but I'd rather die helping people," Mizuki said, pretty serious about their decision.

Ena wanted to groan but it came out as a sigh, knowing that Mizuki was right. "Okay...? God...I don't know. You're such a hero. Haha..okay then. But for Kanade!"

"You trust people too easily~," Mizuki mocked her. Ena blushed and playfully slapped them.

"MOOOM! SHE HIT ME!" Mizuki cried. Ena rolled her eyes and brought them both back inside.

"Excuse me, Kanade...Mafuyu," Ena started.

"Yes?" Mafuyu answered for Kanade. It looked like she was hugging Kanade...a little too much of a cuddle than a hug. Ena brushed it off.

Ena took a deep breath, still holding Mizuki's hand for support. Why did she find this hard? Was her trust issues too high?

"How would you like to stay with us for a couple of days to get together?"

Kanade and Mafuyu looked at each other a moment. Mafuyu looked more worried than nice and whispered to Kanade. Damn..she was good at whispering because Mizuki couldn't even hear her. Everything was quiet at first until Kanade forced Mafuyu and her to stand up, keeping one arm around Mafuyu to keep her standing.

"I'm fine with that...but I'll have to find a way to thank you again...haha. Thank you...so much."

"Oh thanking isn't important right now! What makes me more than thankful is seeing you two safe..," Mizuki confessed, having more of a gentle smile. A smile that Ena admitted to herself that she wanted to see it everyday. She understood that trusting and helping others was suspicious and a huge risk, but if it was to make Mizuki smile like that....Ena was willing to do it. Even if it would cost her life.
