A young skin-walker, often referred to as "the Mutt" or "the Pup" due to her inability to shift into her primal form, a wolf. However, her packmates also refer to her as "Ghost" because of her hair. She has molten-silver hair that cascades down her back and up-tilted blue-grey eyes that seem to glow in the moonlight. Despite being a runt, below the rank of an Omega, in the Silvermoon pack, she possesses great strength and resilience. Serene is intelligent and quick-witted, with a sharp tongue that she uses to defend herself and those she cares about. She has a strong sense of justice and loyalty, which sometimes puts her at odds with the rest of her pack.

What is a marking ceremony?

A marking ceremony is a significant event in the werewolf community that typically occurs when a werewolf finds their mate. During the ceremony, the werewolf who has found their mate will mark their mate with a bite on the neck, which leaves a visible scar.

The ceremony itself can vary depending on the traditions of the pack or the personal preferences of the individuals involved. It may take place during a full moon or at another time that is deemed auspicious. It may involve rituals or prayers, and may be presided over by a pack leader or other respected member of the community.

The actual marking is usually a private affair between the two werewolves, although it may be witnessed by close friends or family members. The bite is typically made on the side of the neck, where it is easily visible but can be concealed by clothing if necessary.

After the marking, the two werewolves are considered to be bonded for life, and their connection is said to be incredibly strong. They may share a telepathic link or be able to sense each other's emotions and thoughts. The marking is also said to enhance the werewolf's physical abilities, making them even stronger and faster than before.

Overall, the marking ceremony is a deeply emotional and significant event for werewolves, symbolizing the union of two souls and the creation of a powerful, lifelong bond.
