Scientific Proof From The Quran

The Orbiting of The Planets

Previously, Scientists used to believe that the Earth was the centre of the solar system and the universe. And that all the planets, including the moon and the sun, revolved around the earth. This was called "Geocentrism". This was believed until a scientist known as Nicholas Coppernicus in 1512 propounded the Heliocentric Theory whereby he said The Sun is the middle of our solar system and that every planet including the earth revolves around it. And later on, a German scientist in 1609 said "Not only does the planets revolve around the sun, but also the planets rotate around their own axis". 20 years ago we found out that The Sun Too rotates around its own axis (before then, we thought it was stationary). In the Quran, Surah Al Ambiya' Chapter 21 Verse 33: "It is Allah who has created the night and the day, the sun and the moon, each one travelling in orbit with its' own motion". So the Quran says that the sun and the moon besides revolving, they also rotate about their own axis. And today, Science has found out that Even The Sun Rotates. Just think, 1400 years ago this was written, and yet just recently science has found out that the statement in the Quran is factually correct. Who could have known this?
