Kingdom of Kestario, Antino, 16th Day of the 3rd Month 751 (Surisium Calendar)

Four patrol mages with their brooms soar through the air above the harbor city of Antino. One may pause and take in the spectacular view of the port town as they were performing their routine task of patrolling the town from the air. Especially though Antino is not the largest port city in Kestario, the lush forest and well-kept landscape have been a magnificent sight for locals and visitors alike, even from above.

One wizard in particular was taking in the magnificent sea, where numerous ships of all sizes were coming and going. But he soon caught sight of something in the sky. When it first appeared as a tiny dot, the wizard initially believed he was merely having hallucinations, but it soon began to grow bigger and bigger, as if...

"An unknown flying object has been spotted, and it is approaching us!" Using his magic, he immediately informs the rest of the patrol team.

The four patrol mages quickly prepared themselves. They are prepared to face an incoming threat with their wands in hand. It's not uncommon for a wyvern or dragon to wander into a town, but this would be a first for this newly formed patrol team.

They are shocked to see that this object doesn't resemble any dragons or wyverns they have ever heard about or seen. Its predominant color is white, and it doesn't even flap its wings. They also didn't see any characteristics that suggested it was a dragon or wyvern other than the fact that it was flying and not a human. Apart from that, something else appears to be attached and spinning on its wings.

As they approach the mysterious object, it suddenly climbs up at a shocking speed, to the point where it has already surpassed them. As they turn their brooms around to pursue the flying entity, they realize that it is moving at such an outrageous speed since they are unable to even approach its tails.

Unable to pursue, the patrol team's leader issued an order,

"Cast a paralyzing spell! Before it invades more of the land, we must destroy that object!" He telepathically relayed his command, and all four mages aimed their wands at the flying object.

Meanwhile, on the ground, citizens and guards alike found themselves staring up at the sky, curious about what was going on above them.

"Everyone, hurry to your house!" A Captain yelled and repeated his order until all citizens were inside their homes with guards on standby.

Back in the sky, the four mages continue to push their broom to keep up with the object. While mentally reciting a spell, the tip of their wands begin to glow yellow, as if collecting energy or something. They release a beam of yellow towards the flying thing after their wands shine so brightly. Their aim was precise, and it should have been a direct hit.

But, much to their surprise, four paralyzing spells that directly hit the thing had no effect on it. It continues to fly as if nothing has happened.

It is not affected by paralyzing magic. The leader reflected to himself. That means it has to be a man-made object!

He considered using explosion magic to destroy it, but he noticed that the object had shown no signs of aggression. It appeared to be avoiding them.

But before he could think of anything else, the object abruptly turned right and returned to its original location.

"Sir, should we pursue this further?" A witch inquired.

The leader did nothing but shake his head "We couldn't keep up with it anymore. We should report back to base any information we gather from this encounter."
