I'll never leave my Cottontail (Leosagi)

A/N: I wanted to start with Leosagi because why not? Enjoy!

Usagi dropped onto his knees. He couldn’t believe it. He didn’t want to believe it. He didn’t do that. There has to be another way. He wouldn’t… Right?

He couldn’t speak. He couldn’t stop him. He couldn’t even say “I love you”. He just stood there in silence.

A tear fell. Then others followed. Usagi felt terrible. He bent over more, gripping the neck of his yukata. Everything hurt.

He wanted to throw up.

He wanted to scream.

He wanted to cry.

He wanted to smash his head into a wall.

He wanted to end it all.

He wanted to die…

The sobs and hiccups were getting louder and louder. “I hate you Leonardo… I hate you. I HATE YOU! I FUCKING HATE YOU!” He cried. His whole body shook with every hiccup. “I hate you… I *hic* hate you… *sob* You selfish idiot I hate you!” He punched the ground. It hurt so much. He wrapped his arms around himself.

“Please come back…” He whispered. “Please don’t leave us…”

Everything went dark. He felt tired.

“Usagi!”

Usagi heard his voice. “I must’ve lost my mind..” He though to himself. “Please shut up I can’t…”

“Usagi!”

Shut up.

“Usagi!”

No. Stop.

“Usagi!”

“STOP!” Usagi jolted awake. He was in a room. His room. But how did he-

“’Sagi? Are you okay?” Leo came in, looking worried. Usagi looked at him. He had bandages on his head and around his carapace and plastron. One arm in a cast, hanging from his neck via a cloth, several stitches on his shoulder. Ah right… The invasion happened two weeks ago…

“Y-yeah… I’m fine…” Leo walked towards the yokai and sat next to him. “Nightmare?” Usagi nodded. “Same one?” He shook his head this time. He’s been seeing the same nightmare since the Krang invasion, where he’s standing in a void, not able to see anything. Then he starts hearing stuff like “Why didn’t you try to stop him?” or “He could’ve listened to you.” He knew the second one was nonsense but his mind somehow accepted the fact that Leo wouldn’t sacrifice himself if Usagi said something. Leo put his arm around Usagi’s shoulders and pulled him closer, placing the bunny’s head on his shoulder. “Wanna talk about it?” Usagi hesitated at first. But then decided to tell him.

“It… It wasn’t like the other one. I didn’t wake up in a void. I just saw the things that happened that day…” He said, fidgeting with his fingers. “I’m sorry. I probably look pathetic right now.” He chuckled. Leo frowned at him.

“No you don’t. You’re not pathetic. You’ve never been. These are normal effects after traumatic events ‘Sagi. There’s nothing wrong with it.” He said, cupping the other’s face. Usagi rubbed his face to Leo’s hand and sighed. “I know…” He then put his head on Leo’s shoulder and hugged him. “Please don’t leave again…” His voice shook. Leo chuckled nervously. “I’ll try.” Usagi lightly punched him on the plastron. “Aha ow. Sorry love.”

“Will you leave now?”

Leo smiled.

“Nope. I’ll never leave my Cottontail.”

“You better not.”

Leo chuckled again and placed a kiss on Usagi’s head.
