jisung looks at him and shakes his head.

"it's nothing"

"okay" he starts up the car and drives away from the restaurant.

"we don't have to go to my parents' house" jisung says.

"no it's fine, you came with me today and it's still early so we can go" jisung nods. "so have you tried convincing them that you being gay isn't a phase?"

"kind of... but they never listened"

"it could have just been a shock to them"

"but I've been gay for years, and they still think I'm gonna grow out of it or something" jisung says and minho nods.

"well maybe me being your fake boyfriend can help them realize"

"what about you?" jisung looks at him.

"what about me?"

"are your parents okay with you being gay?" minho's facial expression changes.

"actually... they died when I was a baby... so I never knew them that well"

"oh shit, I'm sorryyyy"

"no it's fine, my aunt has taken care of me until I was 18. sometimes I felt like that I was a burden to her though"

"I'm sure that's not true!"

"whatever, just keep giving me directions to your parents' house"

once they arrived, jisung opened the door and saw his parents sitting on the sofa.

"jisung!" his mom goes up to him and hugs him. "hi honey!"

"hi mom"

"how are you doing son?" his dad asks.

"fine, um actually I wanted to introduce you to my boyfriend minho" he grabs minho's hand and holds it. "it's not a phase I'm going through, I'm happy with my choice of being gay"

"oh... well..." his mom looks at her husband who was just as surprised as her. "hello minho"

"hi, jisung told me a lot about you" he shows a friendly smile which jisung didn't expect.

"honey" his mom looks at him. "you really are with him?"

"yes, is it that hard to take in?"

"no it's not that son" his dad stands up. "we're just shocked since you haven't dated anyone before"

"because you two think being gay is a phase when I've been gay for years now and I felt insecure about being in a relationship from you two!"

"don't shout at us please"

"why mom!? so you two can be the ones shouting at me about my life choices!? I moved out because I wanted to be away from this life that you want for me, and to find someone to love already"

"what dad!?"

"please don't do this now"

"why you feel embarrassed about exposing who you really are in front of my boyfriend? well too bad"

"okay okay" she puts her hands out. "maybe we need to do a little reevaluating of each other"

"reevaluate what!?"

"all of our choices"

"no, not me" jisung says.

"why don't you stay the rest of the day and have dinner with us son, and we can get to know your boyfriend here"

"huh?" jisung looks at him.

"yeah, huh?" his mom looks at him as well.

"it doesn't seem like a bad thing to do"
