Hey guys! This is my 1st story. I know it's really depressing but it was just a way to get my negative energy out there i guess. Please leave comments and ill try to update often. No hate pls!

Two young girls sat under the shade of a massive oak tree. One was fair-haired, with eyes the color of honey. They sparkled every time she spoke, and the crisp, colorful Fall leaves really accentuated them. Her name was Autumn Hall. Autumn giggled and said something to the other girl. This one had dark hair, hair that matched the ravens circling overhead, and eyes that shone as brightly as the emerald green matching bracelets they wore. " We'll both become famous, and we can live next door to each other. We should both have pet dogs that can play together, and then we can have our double wedding! We can have matching dresses, and everything will be perfect. I want the cake to be vanilla though, pleeaassee. That is my absolute favorite! But you can have whatever you want Jade." These were the words of a very excited blonde six-year-old discussing the future with her best friend. The one called Jade turned and smiled at Autumn. "Ok. Sounds great!" She agreed. Then she looked up. The clouds were turning gray, the wind whipped at her face, and a flash of light flickered through the sky. "It's going to storm! Let's go Auttie!" No response came. "Auttie?" Jade spun and saw her friend lying on the ground, unmoving. "Auttie!" The little blonde's eyes, once the lively color of her name, now lay open with a glazed over look, blank and unblinking. Then the rain fell. It was blood. Hot. Thick. It fell in buckets on poor little Jade. It smothered her, and she couldn't see a thing. The wind continued to howl, growing louder every moment. The ravens from earlier began to caw loudly, an omen of death. Then the voices came. They started out as a whisper. Then they too grew louder and louder and louder! They-

Jade woke with a jolt and sat up in bed screaming. Her head was throbbing, and her sheets were drenched with sweat. For a minute, she couldn't remember why she woke up or why she was shaking. Then it all came back to her. Autumn. Blood. The dream. The impact was too much. So traumatized by what had happened a mere day before, Jade sprinted to the bathroom where the little amount of food she'd eaten came up and out into the toilet.

"Jade?! Are you all right?!" The worried calls of Adam and Jess Taylor flew upstairs, followed by the sounds of their footsteps on the stairs. A shaky, pale-looking Jade appeared at the top of the stairs. She looked nothing like the little girl in the dream. She was taller and looked more mature. But she also looked sad and tired. Her hair once a flowing waterfall of ebony now hung in a limp, dull heap. Her eyes once sparkly gemstones were puffy and sleep-deprived. "Honey I know you've been through a lot but you need your sleep. You need to rest for your therapy session tomorrow. Dr. Brooks is going to help you after... well after what happened." Jade's mom finished lamely. "You're welcome to sleep with us." Her dad offered somewhat awkwardly. Jade stared at them, not with anger or relief, though she wished that she could feel either one of those. She simply stared at them with a numbness, a dullness you feel after learning something terrible you don't want to believe. In Jade's case, it wasn't something she learned, it was something she had lived.

She turned away from her parents, crossed the hallway, and shut the door. If only she could shut the door on everything else, her whole screwed up, turned upside-down life. Jade lay down on her bed and cried. Tears were pouring down her face, angry and unrelentless. Tears of agony. Tears of grief. Tears of guilt.
