Sorry if my chapters are short! I promise I wanted them to be longer but didn't have enough information. Enjoy... 😉!

"You look great," Kimmel said to Dunkin nervously.

"Thanks. I wanted to look nice for the new year, you know." She responded. "Besides I heard that High Blade Xenocrates was going to announce something important, so I dressed for the occasion."

They both blushed in a stupidly shy way. Meanwhile Curie and Tubman had started their own conversation.

"Have you seen Scythe Faraday? We haven't spoken in a while and I was hoping to catch up but I can't seem to find him." Curie said, trying to hide the fact that she just wanted to see him.

"No, I'm afraid I haven't seen him my dear. I am however glad to see that you two still get along even after becoming Scythes. Then again you are remarkable with keeping healthy relationships." Tubman said in a more energetic tone than usual.

Scythe Curie was trying not to blush and wasn't sure if she was doing a good job. "What do you mean by healthy relationships?" She asked, both curious and nervous for an answer.

"I mean like how you and your brother get along so well. It also seemed almost like you and Michael were brother and sister when you two were apprentices." She stated.

"I always thought we were more than that." Marie thought to herself.

Then out of the crowd, Scythe Faraday came walking over to them.

"There you guys are," He said in a tired tone from fighting through the crowd of Scythes. "I've been wondering where you guys were." He had just recently turned the corner back to his young self just like Curie.

As soon as Curie saw him she blushed. "He is just as handsome as he was all those years ago." She immediately brushed off the thought and focused on trying to hide her blush. She had told him that she had a crush on him when they were still apprentices but he declined her affections because of the 9th commandment. Now here they were, at a conclave together, face to face again.

"I... it's good to see you," Faraday said in a shy voice.

"It's been a while." He continued.

"Yeah... I guess it has." They continued to look at each other awkwardly until finally Scythe Tubman noticed and pitched in.

"Scythe Curie may I have a word with you" Tubman said in a concerned manner which kind of scared Curie, but she obliged, said bye to Faraday, and walked away with their mentor.

"What is going on between you and Michael?" Tubman asked with slight concern.

"What do you mean?" Curie seemed slightly drunk off of just seeing him.

"You completely froze up as soon as you saw him. You don't still have a crush on him do you?" She asked raising a brow. Tubman was almost amused by the Curie was acting.

"Wh-what no... I'm fine and I don't have a crush on him. I mean come on.... The 9th commandment forbids us from having affections or affairs with anyone." Curie explained trying to cover up her secret.

"Alright. I just wanted to make sure." Tubman said finally backing down from her accusations.

After the break, Winter conclave was finally almost over. High Blade Xenocrates was making his final announcement of the day.

"To end us off I have some very important news," he paused looking out into the crowd nervously.

"I have just been informed that the council had decided to," he paused again with a slight voice crack.

"Lift the 9th commandment. Conclave dismissed." He finally finished as he immediately made his way off the stage and through the crowd.

All of a sudden the crowd burst into both cheers of joy and fear. It seemed that everyone was miserable from the 9th commandment.

After the announcement, Scythe Curie didn't know what to do. "Now that the 9th commandment has been lifted me and Michael can..." Then she stopped the thought and sighed, remembering that Faraday turned her down the last time she explained her affections for him.

Everyone at the conclave was confused and still in shock. It turned out that Scythe Dunkin was the one to take the first step for the Scythedom.

At the main entrance area she was running around, looking for Scythe Kimmel. As soon as she saw him, she ran over to him and jumped into an embrace, knocking Kimmel off balance and onto the floor. Curie was standing next to him when it happened but quickly moved out of the way when she noticed Dunkin coming at full speed. She stood there snickering but applauding with everyone else. Everyone around them began to laugh. When Dunkin was done, Kimmel was out of breathe. Currie then crouched down next to him while he was still on the floor.

"How does it feel to be taken down by a girl?" Currie asked, looking down at him trying to keep himself from laughing.

"So much for being my strong big brother right." Currie smiled down when she heard some of the others starting to giggle and laugh again at her comments.

"Oh shut it. Make yourself useful and help me." He said, reaching his hand up towards her. She took his hand, still smirking at him.

"What's wrong... You're too old to get up yourself." More Scythes began to laugh Nd his face went from a smirk to full smile. "No but that's what little sisters are for." He chuckled at his own comment.
