When they got there, Kimmel decided to greet them with some lovely sarcasm. (As older brothers do)
"My goodness, what did you guys make out or something? It took you long enough to get here." Kimmel said with a mischievous grin.
Curie decided to wipe that smile off his face by throwing another empty can at his face. It hit him in the same spot as before.
"OWWW! How do you.... How is your aim..... This isn't fair!" He exclaimed, rubbing his face again.
After all of the sibling drama, they all went inside and sat down on the couch to watch a movie. (They we're watching Jurassic Park 3 because I love dinosaurs.) After the movie, Dunkin decided to spend the night, so Curie drove Faraday back to his house
"I had a nice time today. It's nice being able to spend time with you." Faraday said.
"Me too. I just wish we could have spent more time together." She said, slightly disappointed.
"If you wanna stay awhile, you are more then welcome. I could always use some company." Faraday offered, his voice becoming shy.
"I would love that. Besides I'm sure that Kimmel and Dunkin are busy back at home" She said, rolling her eyes at just the thought of leaving them alone together.
"Well you can stay as long as you like." He said, with a warm smile that she swore could meet hearts.
After coming in and getting settled they ended up sitting outside on the bench in front of his house for a while. Watching the stars and pointing out different constellations.
"Michael should we.... Talk about what happened today in the parking lot?" She asked in slight concern.
"Oh... yeah. About that," Faraday started.
"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I just..... when I saw you for the first time after all this time at conclave I felt something. At first I didn't really know what it was but after Xenocrates' last announcement..." he paused again. He bag an to blush.
"It all started to make sense. Then when I saw you leaving I figured I would take my chance, hoping that you still liked me the same way." He finished.
Currie couldn't help but blush. When she looked up at Faraday, she realized that he never took his eyes off her. She looked up into his eyes which looked like two, deep, blue pools of emotion. After a few moments, she felt his lips connect with hers again. She had never felt so... Free, in her life. They broke away for a moment and then continued. Neither of them wanted the moment to end.
After a while they went back inside from the cold and decided to sit on his couch and watch another movie (Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom). She curled up against his side, letting him out his arm around her and, resting her head against his chest and not long after fell asleep. Curie never usually let herself be so vulnerable but she couldn't help it. She loved Faraday with everything she had. She trusted him with her life.
