A long time ago, four women went on a journey to find away to save the earth. Nature was destroyed by human’s greed and selfishness. The women’s journey took them to many places of wonder and magic before they were led to the center of the earth.  There they discovered a secret that will save the earth.  It is a place where the earth’s secret was hidden within a cave. It was where all the light forces of the earth gather. The bearer of the energy will have the power to heal nature and bring to life what was dead. The keeper of the energy source can bring to life their imagination.

The magic was strong and powerful and cannot be held by one person.  The four travelers were awedby the magical force. They decided that it was only fair if each one of them received a fair share of the magic. The voice within the energy source warned them that the powerwas not to be used for selfish reasons.  The women swore and took an oath that they will not abuse their powers.  The women parted and went to different parts of the world to work their magic to heal mother earth.   They were called the Heart women, why? Because their love for nature came from within their Heart.

During their time, nature was restored, mother earth was beautiful again. Dryads danced all night long while Naiads swam and splashed without having to worry about humans abusing them. The forest was always filled with laughter and beauty, mother earth rejoiced with the creations. When the Heart women passed on, the nature spirits mourned with the family of the Heart women. The spirit of magical forces did not die with the 1st Heart woman. The power is inherited by the 1st female child of a Heart woman. If the Heart women have no children of their own, their living sibling’s 1st female child will inherit the source of power.

Now, the real story begins. - 1825

Jaine Ferntice lives in a huge mansion called Hearts Manor. The manor was built in the early 17th century. The land in which the manor was built has been passed from generation to generation within the family. The manor is built near a forest. Jaine lived with her dear father whom she called ‘papa’ when she was most happy, and ‘father’ when upset.

Jaine had many maids waiting on her, and a huge collection of books from all over the world that had specially been brought back by her papa during his travels. But all Jaine really wanted was for her Papa to spend time with her. Unfortunately, Mr. Ferntice was always too busy for his daughter. He was a widower. Jaine’s mum died of childbirth.

In his grief, “Papa” had spent his life building his business and travelling to forget the loss of his dear beloved wife Adele.  Without realising it, he was pushing Jaine away from his life.

When not being tutored by her governess, Jaine was always reading. She was always awestruck by the stories that were in the books she read. When she turned ten, she was given permission by papa to go into the forest alone. It was where her mind ran freely till time was forgotten to her. Discovering a secret that was long forgotten by her family and beyond her wildest dreams is not what any ten year old girl will expect to find in the forest.

You may have probably guessed by now that Jaine is a descendant of the Heart women.  She wasn’t any different from the other children her age. Like most, Jaine had a wild imagination. Only unlike others, she was able to bring to life her imagination.  In her pureness and simplicity when she unleashed her power of imagination her true self shines out.  This is Jaine’s gift to nature. Jaine was able to bring to life the beauty in the books she reads. Her imaginations are alive in the forest at the Heart Manor.

Jaine kept her abilities a secret from Papa, afraid that he may not believe her, or worse, forbid her to go to the forest again. Hoping that her Papa will never find out about this secret of hers, Jaine faced her fears and went to the forest every time she hadthe chance, visiting her creations which had increased tremendously ever since she first stepped into the forest. Dragons, fairies, werewolves, young and pretty maidens and many more looked forward to their Creator’s visits. 

Jaine didn’t know she was being watched. There was someone following her through a vision from a forbidden place. A creator, who had been punished and imprisoned for abusing her powers, and could only be released from her punishment when someone who possessed the blood of a creator finds her.

Lyssa Lantress is a beautiful and young woman from the 17th century.  Lyssa was very drawn to the forest and nature. She was a Creator who was kind and loving. That was, until one day, Lyssa’s fiancé whose names was Theodores went looking for her in the forest and happened to run into an injured dragon, Damont. The dragon was frightened and mistook Theodores for an intruder who was after Lyssa’s powers. The dragon of course, did the natural thing and breathed fire at Lyssa’s fiancé, killing him in the process. Lyssa who had sensed her fiancé in danger ran looking for him, desperately hoping that she wasn’t too late to save Theodores. Unfortunately, she was just in time to see the horrible scene of Damont the dragon’s fire disintegrating Theodores body.

Distraught and driven crazy by the death of her one true love, Lyssa grew to hate all her creations and imagined terrible things to ruin the lives in the forest. What once was a beautiful creation, turned into darkness and Lyssa who once was a confident, beautiful girl, turned into a girl who felt hopeless and empty inside without her soul mate.

At that time, evil saw a way to lead the poor girl into darkness. Lyssa started to practice black magic after realizing that she may have the power to bring Theodores to life again. In her desperation, Lyssa forgot the oath taken by the Heart woman, not to abuse their power.

However, no matter how powerful you may be, you can never deceive the spirits. Lyssa Lantress was banished into the end of the forest and was never to be heard from again by her family. Magic made her immortal until she could be replaced. The forest branches bind its leaves together not allowing anything or anyone to enter or to leave that part of the forest grounds. The forest vines and branches will only open after a hundred years have passed and when a new creator arrives in Heart Manor.
