Adam's pain and suffering

Adam is on the ground sleeping, with his both eyes closed. But doesn't realize the environment around him. He was not in his room. But rather in a dark room. He continues to sleep. But his nice nap would soon be intervened as the voices began to be in his ears. 

"My birthday, my birthday. Its my birthday."

Adam's eyes open. And jolts up. Getting his body balanced. "The crap? Who's there? Then adam begins to realize. He looks around the place he is in. That's when he had his memory jogged. He was back at the place he has never been to for a long time. Oh no. Its one of those isn't it?" Adam said in a not so happy tone. More voices begin to boom around the area. 

"Heya folks! Wanna see me make a horse?" "Ok- That's enough horsing around." Adam notices a brief delay before someone could say his name. But at the same he just shrugs and just doesn't care why it happened. But it was new for him. 

Meanwhile in hell. At the mansion, stolas begins to twitch, suddenly having a rough time sleeping. While at the apartment. Blitzo begins to toss and turn on the couch. Starting to have the same problem. Back to Adam, he once again hears more voices. 

"I'm banana pudding, and I like to dance." "I am worm horse. And I,I am sad." "Why are you sad worm horse?" "Because. I have no legs." "Oh, well that's okay." "I lost all my legs in the war." Someone gasped. "The war?!" Adam just stood there listening. Listening real carefully. But the voices suddenly stopped abruptly. Which got Adam irritated. 

"Hey wait a minute, don't stop. It was just starting to get good. Aw man. This looked like it had more lore then the crappy movies I watched. He suddenly felt something cold and wet. Adam look down to his feet. And sees there's water on the ground. Water? 

Adam starts to move to the direction where the water flows. Then he sees something. Someone on the boat. He takes a look. As the fog clears. He was able to see someone. An imp. A child imp. Holding a cinder block with a rope around it. When Adam lock eyes on him. He notices he looked familiar. And he soon figured it out when he saw the freckles. Moxxie?" Adam said his name. 

As soon as the little imp name Moxxie sees Adam. The floor begin to collapse, and Adam falls into the waters. Adam was goin down to the abyss. Adam starts to look up. He sees Moxxie looking at him, filled with worry. Then someone else taller was behind him. And he sees yellow glowing eyes staring at Adam. 

Then all at once with Adam, Stolas, and blitz. They all jolted up. Being awake from the dream. 

"My word. I felt some sort of presence while I was having some beauty sleep. It was as if someone must had went through my memory, lane. Stolas eyes wide in realization. Wait. That presence felt familiar. Too familiar. The only thing I know that feeling was from. I must head to the foster family's residence. I need to pay the boy a visit." Stolas said as he got up. 

Meanwhile for Blitzo at the apartment. "Oh no. No no, this isn't happening. This is not happening. Oh wait. Blitzo finds his toy horse in his jacket pocket he was hanging. Oh there it is. I thought I lost it for a second. But anyway, am I missing something? He ponders his chin. I think I felt something on my head. Eh, it will come back to me." Blitz gets his jacket and puts it on. 

Back on earth. Adam is in the bathroom. Already got dressed. Looking at himself in the mirror. He let out a sigh. "I think I need to walk." Adam said to himself. 

Adam walks out of his room, went downstairs, and made it to the front door. Adam opens the door. Diane notices Adam at the door. "Adam? Where are you going?" Diane asked. "Outside.         I need some fresh air." Adam replied. Diane starts to worry for Adam. "Are you ok Adam? Did you had a good sleep?" Diane asked. "I did, but things took a turn. Don't worry Ill be back." Adam closes the door behind him. And begins to take a walk. 

Diane knew something was wrong with Adam. Might had been the usual stuff that's been going on with him. Something that could relate to Adam's life. So she thought. Or maybe a rough nightmare? "Hey, anything ok?" Diane turns her head around, and sees its drew. And he happen to hear everything. Diane remembers she forgot drew was here. Just doing some dishes. 

"I don't know. I'm worried about Adam. Something's wrong." Diane said with worry in her eyes. "Let's give him time. If he needed fresh air. Let's just leave him be for now until he's better enough to comeback. Time is all he needs right now Diane." Drew said. 

Diane starts to feel a bit better after hearing Drew's words. But still shows concern for Adam.       "I suppose your right. But we better make sure he makes it back. Not after everything that has happened and what they been through." Diane said. "I know, and we have to be there for them. Especially Adam. He's been though a lot pretty badly." Drew said. 

Adam starts walking throughout a small town. Then he looks to a familiar building. The church. "Hey, its that church where I met her. Its been a long while since I last been there.

Adam pondered for a moment, And made a decision. I think ill stop by and say hello to her. I wonder how Elizabeth been doing?" Adam wondered. 

Adam walked towards the church doors, opened the doors, and he entered. He sees everything inside remained the same. Plenty of seats, stained glass with a cross, set of candles, and of course. Nothing but silence. Adam eventually finds her. He sees she was only sitting down. He walks over towards her direction. And greets her. 

"Hey Elizabeth." She turns to him after hearing his voice. "Adam, its you. What brings you here?" Elizabeth asked. "Nothing really. I just thought I drop by to say hello. Its been a long time since I came here." Adam replied. "So it is it seems. Time always gets passed us." Elizabeth said. 

"But the real reason I'm here is because I needed to walk. Just had another dream where I'm seeing memories. Well supposedly see them that is." Adam said. "What do you mean?" Elizabeth asked. "I'm just only hearing voices. Its so random with this ability I can't even understand. I was getting good sleep. And now here I am talking about what happened with me recently." Adam said. "Sometimes, fate has plans. For you, and everyone else. Was there anything else?" Elizabeth added. Adam thought for a moment. But did remember one last thing. 

"Actually, there is. Elizabeth listens carefully. This time I saw something. I saw Moxxie. Only he was a little imp. And there was someone else there too." Adam said. "As I said. Fate does have plans. And soon. That mystery of that dream of yours will come to light." Elizabeth said. 

The door is heard opened. Adam look to see there's someone. "Sis I need you to send him a message. We received a message from- The young man name Alan sees someone. When he had his eyes on the scars that can be briefly seen. He now realizes its Adam. Who is about to ask his sister Elizabeth to write him a letter. But he's already present. Saving them both the trouble in trying to get Adam. "Ah, I see your already here." Alan said. 

"And you are?" Adam asked the person who he doesn't know. "Alan. I am Elizabeth's brother." Alan introduced himself to Adam. "So what's the hurry then?" Adam asked. "In that case, follow me then. There's someone who wish to speak with you." Alan said. "Who does?" Adam asked.   "A cherub. And he's the one you never heard from him from a long time." Alan hinted. 

When he said that. Adam realizes in an instant. Knowing who he's referring to? "It can't be, Collin? Collin is actually here in this church?" Adam said to himself. 

New foster house 

Everyone at the house is pretty quiet. Diane and drew sits down and watch some TV, watching weather channel, and some sports channel. Violet sits down on the chair with her phone, and Jim is just reading some goosebumps book called: One day at Horrorland. 

"I wonder what this loo loo land place is like?" Jim thought in curiosity. "Wait, why are you thinking about that?" Violet asked jimmy. "I dunno. I just wonder how bad this place is." Jim replied. "Well better hope we don't run into that robot jester again. The one time we dealt with that felt like one of those horror movie moments." Violet said. 

Diane and drew heard their conversation, and wonder what their talking about. But their chances of asking them about that was soon missed when the portal in their kitchen appeared. And they all look to see the portal. The figure emerged from the portal. Violet and jimmy sighed in relief when they see its only Stolas. Feeling glad its only him, and not that other guy. 

"Stolas." Jimmy and violet both said his name. Diane and drew were surprised to see they know him. "You two know him?" Drew asked. Violet and jimmy looked at each other with a worry look on their faces. Trying to find a proper way to explain to their foster parents. "Yeah, its a really long story." Jim said. Stolas steps forward and starts speaking. 

"Perhaps I will explain. Do you remember the words I left on the floor: Yes please?" Stolas asked them. Drew thought about what he said, and realizes what he meant. Drew remembers seeing it back at that base. And they were rescued. Not knowing who. But remembering the words drew and Diane found. Now he was able to connect the dots together. 

"It was you?" Drew guessed. Stolas nodded his head. "Well, I. Thanks for saving us, and the children." Diane said. "It was nothing. When I realized you were all were there. I had to do it because you all didn't deserve to be tormented like this." Stolas explained. 

"But more importantly, why are you here?" Drew asked. "Is Adam present in this household?" Stolas asked. The whole family got silent after being asked if Adam is home?

Meanwhile at the church 

Adam, Elizabeth, and Alan walked in the hallway, passing by some doors. Eventually they stop in their tracks when they arrive at the specific door they need to go. 

"Here we are. This is where you will be talking with him." Alan opens the door. Gesturing Adam and Elizabeth to enter. The three enter the room. Adam looks around the room he's in. 

The room looked big, fancy decorated, and clean. Also they have a chandelier, which is on. Adam goes to catch up with the two. He stops and waits patiently. 

"So this is where I will be communicating with him?" Adam asked. "Yes, with this object. Alan shows him the idol. That looks like a angelic cherub. This is a cherub idol. The bishop left it for us before he said his goodbyes to us." Alan said. "There are other gifts he left us. But most of them are the ones for emergency purposes. He wants us to not misuse them for a dark purpose. Only use them for an actual purpose. To save the weak, and the defenseless." Elizabeth explains. 

"With that said. Stand before the idol Adam." Alan instructs him. Adam did so as he's told. "Ok, now what?" Adam asked. "Just concentrate. Eventually you'll hear his voice." Alan said. 

Adam breathes in, and out. And tries to focus on the idol. He waits, and waits while standing still. Until when the cherub idol resonated. Adam hears someone. 

"Adam? Adam? Are you there?" The voice called. Adam couldn't believe it. He hears him. He hears Collin's voice. "Collin? Is that you?" Adam asked hoping to get a reply. "Yes, its me. I'm there Adam." Collin replies. "Collin, you have no idea how happy I am to hear you." Adam said with a happy smile. "I am happy as well Adam." But this is urgent." Collin said. 

"What? What's happening?" Adam asked. "Nothing. But I want to warn you. If you find us, the three of us you know will be different. Ever since what happened. We're going to start to feel a bit different. And I don't want you to see us. Not like.. this. Our encounter would not be pretty." Collin said. Adam is not liking what he is saying. "Wait, why? Why can't I see you or find you? I just only want to see if you, Keenie, and Cletus are ok?" Adam starts to feel sad. 

"I know Adam. I love that you haven't forgot us." Collin said. "Of course, why would I? You were always there for me." Adam said. "I know. But I'm sorry Adam. At least I get to hear your voice, again before we're off." Collin said with a bit of sadness in his voice. 

"Collin, don't leave. At least tell me what happened?" Adam said. "I don't have much time, but I will leave you only a vague answer. We were.. framed." Collin said. Then there was silence. Adam figures out he no longer hears Collin. "Collin? Collin?!" Adam called his name, but there was no answer. Adam looks down at the floor in defeat. Alan puts his hand on his shoulder to comfort him. "I'm sorry Adam." Alan said. 

"I know you wanted to see them in person. But they only just want to protect you." Elizabeth said. "From who? Nergal?" Adam assumes. Elizabeth shakes her head left and right. "Themselves. Because their souls have walked to a different route. And they just don't you to see them like that." Alan said. Adam didn't want to believe this, not all of it. 

"Like their just, going to- Adam stops himself from finishing that sentence. No, no. I just hope its not too late." Adam said. "Do whatever you need to do. But know this. Once you find them, the three cherubs you know are not the same." Alan gives him a warning. 

"Thanks for letting me talk to him. I think Ill just go home then. See you guys later." Adam opens the door, and closes behind him. Leaving Alan and Elizabeth. 

Adam walks all the way back to the foster house, and he enters. Once he arrived. He was only greeted with a surprise. He sees his foster family, chatting with Stolas. 

"And that's why I hated that party." Stolas said. "Why do those birds at the party have to be this mean?" Drew asked. "This Stella is going to end up on my hate list." Diane said with anger. "Welcome to the club." Violet said. Stolas notices Adam is here. 

"Adam, your back." Stolas jumped. "Hey, how you been?" Adam asked. "I'm doing wonderful. Now then, I think I like to have a word with you." Stolas said. "Am I in trouble?" Adam got worried. "Oh no, not at all. There's important matters I like to discuss with you." Stolas said. 

Adam looks to his family, waiting for them to answer about what Stolas wants. "He's a nice guy, so let the two talk things out." Drew said. "Yeah, he's a cool guy." Violet added. "Well, ok then." Diane nodded her head to Adam. Adam and Stolas marched upstairs. Adam entered his room, and Stolas crouched down to enter his room due to being tall. 

"So, how was your day?" Stolas asked. "My day, oh well I had a recent visit with that avian dressed in white that's bringing the cold in the house. And I got back from a church, feeling stressed and sad at the same time. So uh, yeah. My day was, something." Adam said. 

"I see. So you and your family have met my brother in law." Stolas said. "Pretty much. That guy sure knows how to get in anyone's skin." Adam said. "Oh trust me, he does. I know that feeling." Stolas make a disgusted face thinking about it. 

"I could tell that's the face you hate his guts." Adam said. "I don't hate him. I Loathed him, entirely." Stolas said. "And I think Jim and violet feels the same. So what's up? What did you wanna talk about?" Adam asked stolas. 

"Tell me boy. What did you see?" Stolas asked him a question. Adam gets a confused look on his face. "See what?" Adam replied. "I mean have you saw anything that relates to a memory you saw in your sleep?" Stolas asked. 

Adam now gets what he's saying. "Oh. Well, I never saw. But Rather only hear things. One of them was a boy saying its his birthday." Adam describes. Hearing this instantly confirms that to stolas. That it was definitely Adam. "Do you know who that was? That birthday kid?" Adam asked. "I do actually. He was me." Stolas puts his hands on his chest. 

"Wait, you?" Adam asked in shock. "Yep, It seems you delved into my memory lane. And I am sure for others as well. And I know you also delve into via's memory lane as well. She did tell me about it." Stolas said. Adam starts to get uncomfortable. Remembering the one time when that happened. "Ugh, I hate this ability of mine. This is getting ridiculous." Adam said. 

"Adam, I know your scared. Its normal to get scared of an ability you never understand. but sometimes. There are reasons. Like if fate tries to warn ya about the dangers that would yet to come for ya. Feeling what they felt. Fear, sadness, and even pain. I had happiness as a little owl, but eventually. Everything turned nothing but pain for me." Stolas said. 

"My childhood has always been pain for me. Mrs. dawn was always there for me.." Adam said.    "I was happy my birthday came. To learn my purpose, and responsibility. And I was gifted with the grimoire. Everything was splendid. Then I was arranged with. Her." Stolas said. 

"So it was all an arranged marriage. All for royal duties, because they care about themselves." Adam punches the all in anger. Which surprised Stolas. He started to get worried. "Adam." Stolas tries to reply. But Adam starts to keep going. "They just only care about themselves, while everyone else suffers, while someone like you suffer. And, And." Adam starts to feel anger. 

The aura starts to show around Adam. Stolas grabs his arm and tries to calm him down. "Adam please." Stolas tries again. But Adam started to yell. "UGH, everything is so unfair! My rigged life, your arranged marriage. Their suffering. WHY IS EVERYTHING SO UNFAIR TO EVERYBODY?!" Adam yells very angrily. The aura gotten tall, and changed to a crimson red color. 

"ADAM! Stolas yelled. Adam turns to look at him, with an angry expression. Stolas brings Adam in an embrace. Trying to comfort him. We both suffered greatly. We all did. Via, Blitzy, and I'm sure your foster family and siblings. There are some pains we can heal, and some we can't. And a scar in our memory will always remain. But all we can do to heal ourselves. Is just let it all go.

Let the pain go Adam. Its all you can do right now." Stolas said. Adam begins to calm down. The aura changed into a neutral color. And faded. "I hate this. I freaking hate everything." Adam said. 
"I know Adam. Endure is all we can both do. All of us. Stolas let go of Adam. We must be prepared for what's coming next." Stolas said. 

"Right. I suppose." Adam said. "I had heard about the choice you made. I think Ill be happy to drop on by for a visit. I may bring Octavia along as well. Ever since what happened, she was real worried for you." Stolas said. "Can't say I'm surprised after all. I was worried for Jim when he got hurt." Adam added. "She was worried for all of you, even I was too." Stolas said. 

"Then I may as well expect the imps since they have the book for their business." Adam assumes. "Ah, excellent idea. Then me and Blitzo will visit. As well as his company." Stolas thought of a brilliant idea. Adam face palm himself realizing what he had done. "Way to go idiot, now I might have blitz and them to deal with." Adam said to himself. 

"Now that we have our chat. I best be on my way. Because soon, I am about to be free from her. Which I know there's going to be more trouble to come and bite my feathers." Stolas said. "Trouble is gonna be coming for both of us. Since Stella and the other goetias is gonna be coming over for who knows when?" Adam added. "If its Stella you have to deal with. Keep your guard up dear boy. She can be a piece of work." Stolas gives Adam a tip. 

"No need to tell me twice. I think violet is well aware of that." Adam said with a smile. Stolas summons the portal. "Good luck Adam. And be careful." Stolas said. "Thanks. Glad we understand each other." Adam said. Stolas smiles happily. "Me too." Stolas said. 

Stolas enters the portal. The portal closes until its gone. Adam hears his door being opened. He turns to see its Drew and Diane. Violet and jimmy walked past the two. Adam sees their all wearing a worried look. Adam thought his loud yell must had gotten them worried. 

"Don't worry, its fine now. I had to let it out. Stolas helped me calm down. And I learned. We both didn't had a good life. Or our childhoods. But I can't let this past weigh on me. So let's go enjoy our family life before something gets in the way." Adam suggested. 

"I say that's a good idea." Diane replied. "Then let's go for walk, as a family." Drew said. Drew and Diane went down the stairs. While Adam Jim, and violet stayed behind for a moment.

"You sure your alright?" Violet asked. "Who knows? But ether way, let's all manage what we can do for now." Adam said. "Right, let's do that before someone craps on our happy family moment. But if anything happens, I'm there." Jim said. "I think we would all be there. Come on, we got some family fun to do." Adam said. 

Violet and jimmy raced down the stairs. Adam takes out a heavenly medallion. "Mrs. dawn, Collin, Keenie, Cletus. Whatever happens, Ill get through this for all of you. And not let the life I wanted, go to waste." Adam puts the medallion back in his pocket. He exits his room, and closes the door behind him. Going downstairs to spend some time with his foster family. 

As much as he can, while it last.
