I sighed as I carried a bunch of books in my arms I was walking alone at what I'm sure was midnight. I was heading to my dorm. I had just came from the library. I had fallen asleep in there for about 2 hours! I've been at college for a week and I'm already behind. Who knew studying journalism and photography would be so hard. I was halfway to my building when I remembered I had forgotten to pick out a book on journal writing skills. Shit! So I turned around and walked towards the library.
"Help! Someone please help!" I heard the voice of a girl yell out.
I froze and looked around. I saw shadows on the side of the library building.
I crept a little closer to have a look of what it was, but I couldn't see anything.
"What are you?" asked the girl in a terrified tone.
My heart began to beat fast.
"I'm just someone trying to make this less painful." said the voice of an irish boy.
I had no idea what to do. Should I help her or go get help? But if i do by the time I get back it might be to late to help her. I wonder what he wanted to do with her. I had no time to think. I ran towards the admission office and got help.
After running as fast as I could I returned to the library with campus security.
"They were over there." I said pointing to the side of the building. There was no longer shadows.
One of the security walked over and jumped up.
He spoke something into his walkie-talkie and walked over to me.
"What exactly did you see?" He asked.
"Nothing but shadows." I replied "why?"
"The girl who you said you heard screaming ... she's dead."
My heart sank. I walked over to the body. I saw bite marks on her neck and arm. What? Was this from a human or an animal? I wondered. Just thinking of it made me sick. I started feeling dizzy and light headed. Before I knew it I fell to the ground and everything was black.
