MEETING YOU

"Excuse me, can I get my ball back.."

As I turned around, hearing the voice, I was dumbstruck by the handsome guy standing before me. The word "handsome" would be an understatement for him. His aura was intimidating, and I forgot what had happened to me just minutes before. However, I was soon snapped back to reality when I heard someone shouting behind me.

"Jin Hyung!!!!!" It was none other than Jungkook.

"You're here finally! My god, I thought you were joking about us being in the same university," Jungkook exclaimed, hugging me and kissing my cheeks and forehead repeatedly. I knew we were meeting after six years, but that didn't mean he had to embarrass me in front of this handsome guy, who was staring at us.

"Umm, if you don't mind, Mr...," the handsome guy said, looking at me and then at Jungkook, "can I have my ball back? By the way, Jungkook, you never told me your boyfriend was coming today." He spoke in a sarcastic tone.

I felt a surge of embarrassment. Did he know Jungkook? And what was with the word "boyfriend"? No way! He thought Jungkook and I were lovers. I was doomed on the very first day.

I had to clarify the situation. "To make it clear, I am not Jungkook's boyfriend. He's my best friend, whom I'm meeting after ages. And about your ball, Mr... I guess you should watch where you're throwing things instead of playing blindly."

I felt a sense of satisfaction seeing his expression change. Though he was handsome, he had ruined my first day by hitting that stupid ball on my head.

"I see you're new here, so you don't know who I am," he said, a hint of arrogance in his voice. "I guess you need an introduction. I am..."

However, he was interrupted by a short cute guy, who exclaimed, "Jungkook, Taehyung, you both are here! And Taehyung, Yoongi hyung is really angry at you. Instead of going back to the ground with the ball, you're gossiping here."

So, his name was Taehyung. I thought to myself, What a nice name. But then I remembered how he had ruined my day.

The short guy standing beside Jungkook asked, "Jungkook, who are these two? Are they your new friends? I've never seen them on campus before."

Before Jungkook could respond, Taehyung interrupted, "That tall guy is Kook's boyfriend, and that guy beside him is his friend, I guess."

The short guy's expression changed, and he told Jungkook he would see him in class before walking away. Jungkook glanced at me, glared at Taehyung, and followed the short guy.

I glared at Taehyung, who seemed unbothered. He smirked at us, took the ball back from my hand, and returned to the ground.

I hadn't even realized I was holding my breath. This guy had already given me a headache on the first day.

Hoseok, who was standing behind me, put his hand on my shoulder. "Jin hyung, don't think much about it. Let's not bother with people like him. Instead, let's find our class. Come on, let's go."
