I was walking, and walking, walking... When I heard a loud bang in Tsukasa's room. It seemed like a strong impact from something big hitting the wall or ceiling.
"Tsukasa?" I shouted as I went into his room. I immediately noticed that everything inside it had been destroyed. The bed was on its side, all the furniture was broken apart, and there were several holes in the walls too.
"What happened here?!"
I found Tsukasa unconscious on the floor, blood flowing out of his nose. He looked awful! I didn't know why he would get into a fight with someone so violent. Was his condition really just due to trauma?
"Heh heh... A puny human can't do anything against me!"
A middle-aged man stood before me. He was wearing a kimono, and he had white hair and green eyes. His face was covered by a mask, but his figure seemed familiar somehow. I recognized him as the old Japanese man who had appeared at Tsukasa's apartment on New Year's Day.
"Who are you?! What did you do to my lov- to the prince!" I screamed as I tried to run after the man. I could hear the sound of something heavy falling behind me.
After a few seconds, I felt a sharp pain in my chest. There was no doubt. That old man had stabbed me. I fell onto the ground, unable to move. My consciousness began to fade away.
"Hahaha~ You will be joining him soon."
The man raised a hand, and a black mist appeared around me. Then, he closed his fist. I knew what was about to happen. It was time for me to die.
I saw that grin of his.. it was... Amusing. But I couldn't just give up like that, I tried standing up again.
"Oh? Do you have some guts left then?" The man laughed mockingly. I slowly become nauseous, but I tried harder, and eventually stabbed him right through the chest. Even though I'd only gotten lucky.
I collapsed on the floor, and he hit me with a powerful uppercut.
My knees gave way, and I fell. My body lost strength, and I passed out.
When I awoke, I was back in my room. And the moment I opened my eyes, I realized that I had finally achieved my goal.
"I'm sorry, Tsukasa..."
I turned towards Tsukasa's room, but the door was shut. The cold wind blew past me as I stared down at my own hands. Tsukasa was still alive.
"I won't let you go. Not yet."
It was true. That man wasn't going to defeat me. Not when I knew he was lying. I wouldn't allow him to take Tsukasa away from me.
I took one step forward and another step back, hearing horses outside and weapons, and the shouts of innocent humans and knights, It was a fight. I looked at Tsukasa's room, and decided to open it.
I gently open the door...
I look at his empty bed and tried to process my brain on where he was, I looked outside and saw... a strawberry blonde, fighting. What was he doing?! He was just injured yesterday!
I run off and put on my armor and grab my weapons, I dashed as fast as I can to Tsukasa. I could see him struggling from faraway, I protected him with a shield as I fought alongside him.
As I was fighting, Tsukasa suddenly shouted and ran infront of me. "RUI! WATCH OUT!" those words... truly terrify me. And in a blink of an eye, Tsukasa was on the ground, with a dagger in his chest. I felt my knees weaken as I drop to the ground, "Tsukasa...Please, Don't leave me! DON'T LEAVE ME LIKE ALL THE OTHER ONES!" I ugly cried in front of him as I see a smile. "I... love you, Rui.." Those were his last words, before dying in my arms. I didn't know how to react. I couldn't believe this was happening now, but I should've been prepared for this day. He left me. Even though I tried to hold on tight, he was already gone.
I kneeled beside Tsukasa's body and hugged him tightly. His body was cold, he really was, dead. I was overcome with rage and sadness. I felt my heart break. All the memories we shared together flashed in my mind. I could feel the tears welling up from my eyes. I wanted to scream, but I couldn't. The world around me was darkening, and I could barely keep my eyes open.
I then felt a sharp pain on my back. I felt a stabbing sensation that made me fall to the ground. My vision blurred, my vision faded, and I couldn't see anymore, all I could see was the love of my life's corpse.
"I love you too, My sweet prince.. Let us meet again In another life, please..." I reached out for his hand as everything around me goes black, and which my body became numb. I was dead.
