Beware the Jungle

Ben's POV:

I couldn't believe what just happened. I was in shock while packing up the stuff for the journey to Costa Rica. He kissed me. And I kissed him. How could I be so lucky? I decided to tell Brooklynn. Darius said he didn't mind if I told anyone and I didn't mind if he did the same. 

''Uh Brooklynn. Can I talk to you... in private?'' I said. ''Sure.'' she said, confused. We walked away from the other two, still packing up. ''What is this about?'' she asked. ''I....uh..I kissed Darius and he kissed me back.'' I said nervously. She erupted into her squealing sounds once more. ''EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! You two are finally official!!'' ''What do you mean finally? Did you ship us?'' I said annoyed. ''Maybe a little bit'' she answered shyly. ''Anyway tell me more!! How did it happen?'' she asked with puppy eyes. 

Darius's POV:

Yaz and I walked in the direction of the boat. She was shocked at the words I had just spoken. I was shocked as well. I couldn't comprehend all the emotions I was feeling right now. 

We arrived at the boat about 5 minutes later. ''Here we go I guess.'' I said. We prepared the boat for launching. The others said over the walkie-talkies that they were setting off with the supplies now. Yaz and I sat down. We started laughing with joy. We were going to get off this nightmare island. 

Brooklynn's POV:

We packed up all the supplies we would need for the journey to Costa Rica. ''Have we got everything?'' I asked the others. ''Yepp!'' Kenji shouted back. ''Ok. Let's go!'' I replied. I was so excited to get home that I was almost running. 

After about 3 minutes of walking towards the boat (and Darius and Yaz) I stopped. ''Did you guys hear that?'' I questioned nervously. ''Hear what??'' Sammy said concerned. ''Um. It was probably just a weird... bird or something..'' I replied. I wasn't buying it. ''Let's move quicker. This jungle isn't safe after all. The dock is a lot safer.'' I told them. Kenji and Ben were talking about something. They were wandering at the back of the group. ''Come on guys! Hurry u......'' Something came running out of the trees at us. It roared so loud, I thought my ears would burst. It was the Scorpios Rex. I grabbed the walkie-talkie out of my pocket as fast as I could. ''Darius, Yaz. IT'S FOUND US!'' I screamed into the walkie-talkie. The beast came running over to me..... ''AAahhhhhhhhh!''

Darius's POV: 

''So how much longer do you think until they'll be here?'' I asked Yaz, slightly concerned. ''I don't kno.....'' she began to reply. ''Darius, Yaz. IT'S FOUND US!!! AAaahhhhhhhh!'' I'll never forget the ashened look on Yaz's face when she heard Brooklynn come over the walkie-talkie. ''Brooklynn? BROOKLYNN????'' I shouted into it. No reply. ''No. It can't be'' Yaz cried in pain. ''We have to go and help them!!'' I exclaimed. She got up and bolted away into the jungle. I was struggling to keep up with her. I prayed to God that they were okay...

I'm back guys! I know that I haven't posted a chapter since March I think. This is because, sadly a family member of mine passed away and I've been spending time with family during this difficult time. Anyway I hoped you enjoyed this chapter and I'll be back with the next one on 10/05/23. I'm British btw which is why I'm writing the date like that. :) See you guys for the next chapter.
