Ch. 5~

Katie's POV:

           You have got to be kidding me. I really needed time without them around to relax and not worry about anything, but now that their here it just reminds me of all the crap that's going on in my life right now. I know I'm exaggerating, but I just had the biggest surprise dropped on me yesterday so I have my reasons. Thankfully no one in this town are big One Direction fans, well except Anna because she is a special snowflake, or else they would get mobbed which would just make everything worse than it already is.

            "Wow their even hotter in person now that I get a good look at them!" Anna whispers in my ear. Well, I guess she sees them now too. I just let out a sigh and give her a death glare which makes her immediately put her hands up in defense.

            "Right sorry not helping." She says trying not to make me angrier. "We need to start warm-ups anyways so lets go."

             We walk over to our teams bench and I gather up the other girls to start the warm-ups since I'm team captain. We jog around the field twice, stretch out a bit, and do a few drills to get our muscles moving and ready to go. And the whole time I felt five pairs of eyes on me, watching my every move. I wouldn't let it get to me though because I needed to stay concentrated especially since we were playing the Charges, one of the best teams in our league and not to mention our rivals.

             Soon enough the game was ready to begin and I was in pure game mode. Nothing could distract me now. The whistle blew signaling the game and the other team started dribbling the ball down the field since they won the coin toss earlier.

              Its now the the second half of the game with 2 minutes left and the score is 4-3. They are sneaky I will give them that. Juking me out of the box and everthing. The entire crowd is completely involved in the game screaming and cheering the team on. I even hear the boys cheering for my team and quite loudly I might add. They are louder than the entire group of spectators all together.

             Suddenly one of the Chargers players snatches the ball away from our defense and starts making their way up towards our goal. They then make a clean pass up to Holly who has this mischievious smirk on her face.

              "LOOK OUT THERE KATIE, I'M GONNA SCORE ON YOU." She says dribbling the ball closer and closer to the goal.

               "NOT TODAY HOLLY." I say back crouching down, ready to jump.

               "COME ON KATIE!" I hear Harry scream from the sidelines. Oh shush it Curly.

                 Holly then brings her foot backk and kicks the ball with all her might, but I slide tackle and grab the ball saving it froming going into the net. Thats when the buzzer suddenly goes off signaling the end of the game and I am tackled by my teammates

                 My teammates were hugging me to death and doing their celebration dances around me. I even see my coach doing his own little happy dance on the sidelines. Not one the prettiest sites I've seen... but ehhh whatever. Anna then comes up to me and tackles me into a giant bear hug while screaming, "AHHHH CONGRAGULATIONS GIRLY!! YOU JUST WON THE GAME FOR US!!"

                 "Hahahaha thanks." I say with the biggest grin on my face. We then shook hands with the other team who all gave me death glares while I just smirked back at them. Sucks for them muhahahaha.

                 "KATTTTTIIIIEEEEEE." Anna screams while jumping on my back.

                 "Ommmfff jeez Anna you need to lay of the carbs." I chuckle as i struggle to carry her over to the benches. She's not overweight or anything she is just taller than me by about 3 and a half inches. I know I'm short but I like to refer to it as fun size.

                 "Ohhh shutup." She says playfully slapping my shoulder."Anyways we need to celebrate your amazing, spectacular, fantastic, excellent, annnnddd perfect save."

                 "YES!" I say dropping  her back on the ground when we reach the benches to grab our stuff. "This calls for icecream and movie marathon because I'm too tired to do anything else." I say laughing a little.

                  "Agreed, you know me so well." She says smirking back. Then I see the boys running up to me, shoving and pushing each other to try and reach me first. Ohhh boy I think. Here we go.

                  They all reach me at the same time and say in unision, "Nice save Katie."

                  "Wow thats scary, but thanks." I say back.

                  Niall then turns to the lads and puts his hand out saying "Pay up mates." The rest of the boys groan and hand him $10 dollars each(sorry not sure what the currency is for the UK)

                  "Umm why are they giving you money," Anna questions them, speaking up for the first time."

                  "Well the lads and I made a bet on if Katie would save the goal or not and these bozos lost." He answers while shoving the money he recieved in his pocket.

                   "Wait so the rest of you thought I would miss it..... Well thanks for having confidence in me." I say a bit hurt.

                   "No no no." Louis speaks up seeing the hurt look in my eyes, trying to make me feel better, "We just didn't think you were that good, we've never seen you play before. You are really good and that was an amazing save."

                   "Ok whatever, its fine." I say not letting in bother me anymore. "Leggo Anna, I wanna watch Paranormal Activity 4."

                   "Urrgghh fine but if I have nightmares because of it, its on you." She says pointing an accusing finger at me.

                   "Fine, fine." I say starting to walk back to the house.

                   "Ummm mind if we join you guys." Niall asks twiddling with his fingers.

                   "Sure, why not." I say deciding to give them a chance. I mean they seem like nice, funny, and caring lads. They even came to my soccer game which shows they do care about me. I guess I was just angry before because I was told sooo many lies and was just letting it out on the lads. But it wasn't even their fault, Niall was just trying to get to know his sister that he hasn't seen in I don't know how many years. I at least need to give them a chance........
