It has been on going for a few days now and Jimin had notice. And seeing the younger sad, because his father had been coming home late, and leaving early made Jimin want to confront the older.
Today was the day. After eating, Jimin sent Minseo to bed, telling her that he has a lot of homework to do. He sat on the couch in the living room and watched TV waiting for Jungkook to come home.
After hours of sitting there in the living room, watching TV, Jimin fell asleep on the couch. Soon enough Jungkook entered the house and heard the TV still playing. Today he was drunk. Yes he drove here in his state. No one and I mean not even a single soul drives Jungkook's car and he would never leave it there.
He walked to the living room tempting to switch the TV off. That woke Jimin up. "Oh, hyung, you are back," Jimin said trying to gather himself. Why are you still here and not in bed?" Jungkook questioned. "I was waiting for you," the younger said and with that Jungkook frowned knowing that he had been worrying the younger.
He looked at Jimin before opening his mouth to ask him a question. "Why were you waiting for me? Did I ask you to?" He asked. That pained so much. It pained Jimin. "You have been leaving early and coming late, telling the other hyungs to fetch us to and from school, what is wrong hyung?" Jimin asked.
Jungkook's mood changed. "Why do you care?" He asked. "Minseo is worried about you, she is starting to question me, and I don't know what to tell her," Jimin said. Rather than the older explained himself. He looked at Jimin. "How about You mind your own business and do your job rather than complaining and staffing your nose where it's not needed," Jungkook said and left Jimin there by himself.
Jimin cried himself to sleep. He slept in the same room as Minseo. The room that they both share. Little sniffs could be heard. He was trying so hard to not make noise that would wake the younger up.
This went up for days. He would wake up, do his morning routine and help Miseo prepare for school and pretend to be fine and then cry himself to sleep. It was his new routine. The reason he was the one who ran after Sunno rather than his friends who knew him before he came in the picture, was because he understood the pain Sunoo felt better that any of their friends.
He knew the pain of being shut down and insulted by his crush for caring. Minseo noticed. She noticed that Jimin cry himself to sleep everyday, even though he pretended to be happy the whole day with his friends. She would hear Jimin's soft cries everyday and she was determined to talk to her father.
Minseo got to bed as Jimin tugged her to bed. She pretend to fall asleep and heard Jimin cry again. She softly sighed before she heard soft snors from Jimin. She quietly got off the bed and went to her father's room. She climbed up the bed and waited for his father.
After a few hours of waiting she was starting to fall asleep, but she didn't want to. She was resting. After a long wait, Jungkook finally entered his room and found his daughter dosing off. "Why are you guys staying up all night waiting for me?" He mumbled, asking himself.
She heard his voice and woke up. "Dad, we need to talk," she said. "Why is everyone trying to talk to me? I just want to live my life the way I want to, is that hard to do?" He said getting annoyed. She looked at him and shook her head.
"Dad, what is wrong with you? It is not you, not at all. I know you will give me all of that 'I am okay and nothing is wrong but no. Everything is wrong don't you see? I am worried about you and I am also worried about Jimin Oppa.
He has been crying himself to sleep for days now. I know it has something to do with you. Appa. I get it that You are going through a lot, I can tell by the way you smell. You reek alcohol Appa and you have been avoiding us for weeks. I hate it. I hate seeing you like this. Talk it out with someone. I know you don't want to talk to us, which is why you are avoiding us," she said.
"Jimin has been crying himself to sleep?" Jungkook asked to make sure he heard her correctly. She nodded her head and Jungkook ran to their room. He knew if Jimin cried himself to sleep the tear stains would be there on his face. And that's what he saw. With that came regret.
He knew he did that to protect him, but what is the point of protecting him when he is the one hurting him. He really messed up. He remembered what he said to him. It made him feel even worse. "I am sorry pumkin, I was just trying to protect you from my father," Jungkook said brushing Jimin's hair.
"Protect him from your father? Why?" She asked after hearing him say that. She followed him to their room. "My father doesn't like boy to boy relationships or anything related to that. He says it is ridiculous. He saw me and Jimin kissing at the game and came to my company and shouted at me because of it.
Don't get me wrong. I don't care what my father thinks about me or he hates me. I have my own money now. I cam take care of myself. It's what he will do to Jimin that I am worried of. He is a psycho when it comes to the LGBTQ+ people.
He had set up a date with one of the partners and they had agreed to help him with his company if I marry his daughter. But I rejected her. I don't like her or any another girl.
I already have my own companies that I worked really hard on alone. I don't need to care about his, it's none of my business. He had his man follow me everywhere, so I had to protect him," Jungkook confessed.
"But hyung, you could have told me when I asked you, I would have understood. I don't care what he would do to me. You shouldn't make yourself suffer so much. You even reek alcohol. Have you been sleeping with girls again?" The younger heard everything.
The smell of alcohol from Jungkook wad the reason he woke up. "Wait you heard?" Jungkook asked shocked as he thought the younger was sleeping. "Yes I heard, as soon as you came close to me and strocked my hair, the smell of the alcohol on you woke me up. But you are not answering my question here hyung," Jimin said.
"No, I promise, I haven't slept with any girl ever since you came in the picture," Jungkook said. "Fine, but stop drinking alcohol every night hyung, it's not healthy. And stop leaving early and coming home late, we miss you," Jimin said. Jungkook nodded trying to hug Jimin but Jimin backed away.
"You still smell hyung, go take a shower and brush your teeth," Jimin said sending the older off. "Thank you Minseo, I guess you talked the sense out of him," Jimin said she hugged the girl. "I couldn't stand to see you cry every night oppa, it was hurting me," the younger said as they both cuddled to sleep. Soon enough Jungkook joined in and fell asleep with them.
