"boyd peterson, both dr. hemmings would like to see you now."

the young boy walked down the long hall towards room one-zero-six, opening the door to see the bright-eyed couple laughing.

anita and luke had followed her dream of being ophthalmologists. the two graduated from their seven-year college course, completing it with a bachelor's degree of medical science and becoming a doctor of medicine.

even after three years of hospital residency and eight years of medical school, the couple managed to fight for their relationship. there were a myriad of bumps in the road, but they remained together after their tough times. their dreams had turned into reality two years ago after the couple had gotten married. they still had fights now and then, but that was normal.

anita got to stare into luke's eyes everyday; he got to stare into her hazel ones.

it was truly a win-win for the pair.

now the couple worked together, never seeming bored with each other. they had a little one on the way, and anita prayed that their future child would have luke's blue eyes.

the little boy and his mother greeted the married couple and went over the basics of every check up. anita looked over at her husband as he was talking to the parent, luke turning his head and making eye contact with his wife.

his gorgeous, blue eyes were shining.
