Prank Gone Wrong

What..? A Dream..?

 Just what was going on? Why was he just staring into space? It made no sense, the camp had agreed to try and prank Percy ever since he first arrived. None had worked until today, last time they told him that Annabeth had died. All he did was laugh and say "Better luck next time, I can see her." But when they turned around she wasn't there nor was he when they turned back. Today they told him Nico had been the one to pass, he hasn't moved or responded since.

He moved. He moved and now they couldn't find him. That was until Nico came running from his cabin, "WHY WAS PERCY IN MY CABIN, SWORD IN HAND!?" They all fall quiet as he continues ranting, "He was scanning the entire cabin as if there was someone waiting in one of the corners waiting to attack me!" They all look away leaving Annabeth to explain, and explain she did. By the time she was done Nico was seething with rage, he didn't think they were that stupid to not know anything about Poseidon and his kids. He himself knew very little but he knew that their loyalty was not something to fuck with. "Do you know what you've just gone and done? There is a reason the gods fear his loyalty and the response you're about to get is why. YOU'RE FUCKING FOOLS FOR THINKING THIS WAS OK!! You made this mess and I'm not helping you unless he attacks." He starts to turn before a blur passes all of them, tackling Annabeth. On the ground was Percy pinning Annabeth with riptide to her throat, Nico panics he now knows just how bad this is. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO NICO!?" Percy snarls in her face, he was clearly unfocused as his eyes were glazed over. He heard Nico yelling so he ran over as fast as he could to tackle her as it would limit her movement. He knew he was heavy, he may not have had fat on his body but his muscle mass made him extremely heavy. "Percy..? Do you even know who that is?" Nico asks the older male with caution, only for Percy to look at him beyond confused. "Should I know her? Or any of these people? I don't recall ever seeing them around here?" A silence falls over the camp, had he forgotten all of them over a prank? Has this truly been a prank gone wrong? They look to Nico for him to explain, they hear the younger male sigh before he starts to speak. "Percy is a son of Poseidon and as such his loyalty knows no bounds, as a child of the sea is hurt their memory of the one that was hurt grows into primal instinct to protect that loved one and one to hurt the one that had wounded the loved one." Percy turns to Nico with a sad smile, "And she hurt you greatly my dear. More than you could ever show, she drove me away from you and that has wounded you into replaying this memory for comfort, to try and find a clue as to where I am. Well I'll give you that clue so you're back on your feet by the end of the day. I've sought comfort in my spot, the very spot you learned all my secrets and made them your own." Nico looks at him in sorrow, "But I don't know where that is, I've forgotten..." Nico muttered, Percy cups his face and smiles gently at him. "Just follow your instincts, you'll find me before you know it..." With those final words spoken everything fades as he shoots up, "I know where he is...I KNOW WHERE HE IS!!" Nico shouts with glee, he could finally be trapped in Percy's warm embrace. After Percy vanished everything seemed so cold to his touch, he hated it and couldn't wait to be warm in Percy's arms. He runs to the beach, "My Lord!! I know where he is!! I can find him and bring him back for the both of us!!" As Nico runs off after yelling at the darkened sea, if he had just looked back he would have seen it lighten up as Poseidon stood atop the water with a small, hopeful smile on his face. Once he vanishes in a sea breeze, what looks to be a younger version of him stands in his place watching Nico run with a smile on his face. Once he could no longer see Nico, he vanished in a flutter of snow. Nico ran for what felt like hours before he found what he was looking for and there at the entrance of the cave stood Percy waiting for Nico with a smile on his face that only grew when Nico leaped into his warm embrace. "I told you, you knew right where to find me without me telling you." Nico hums as he settles within the older males arms.
