Y/N 'S POV

22:38

I slowly climbed the wall, the pads of my fingers adhering to the rough surface.

As I looked up, I spotted the windows above me.

'That should be my room,' I thought, eyeing a half-open window about a meter away.

With a determined grip, I clung to the edge of the frame and cautiously poked my head inside, scanning the room in the dim light, hoping it was empty. Once I was sure, I nudged the window all the way open.

Using both hands, I pushed myself up, feeling the strain in my arms as I swung one leg inside before pulling the rest of my body through.

I turned back to the window and carefully closed it, the soft click echoing in the quiet room. With a heavy sigh, I wiped the sweat from my forehead and made my way toward the bathroom, dreaming of a long, relaxing bubble bath.

But just as my hand reached for the handle, it turned on its own, the door creaking open.

I froze, my heart pounding, and narrowed my eyes in nervousness.

"Y/N?"

The voice wasn't who I expected.

Confused, I opened my eyes fully and was met with a worried face.

"Dahyun? What are you doing here?" I tilted my head, baffled.

"What are you talking about? This is my room," Dahyun replied, her eyebrow arching.

My face contorted with confusion as I spun around, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings. Realization hit me like a ton of bricks—I had climbed into the wrong room.

"But why are you in your suit, and all dirty? Where have you been?" Dahyun's voice was laced with concern.

I had two choices: I could either look into her eyes and spill the truth or... run away. Given my track record, the latter seemed like the easier option. But I had learned from my past mistakes.

So, I turned around and looked Dahyun in the eye.

She stepped closer, her expression softening as she placed a hand on my cheek. Her thumb gently caressed the superficial wounds there, her touch soothing.

"What happened?" Dahyun's worried look softened.

"I'm going to tell you, but first, fasten your shoes. Your laces are undone, and it's bugging me. Plus, you could trip," I said, glancing down at her feet.

Dahyun moved her hand away from my face and looked down as well.

"But my shoes don't even have—"

Before she could finish, I dashed toward the door. Just as my fingers brushed the handle, a sudden, searing pain tore through my abdomen.

I winced, gripping the handle with one hand as I slowly slumped against the door until I was sitting on the floor.

I could feel Dahyun hurrying toward me. She crouched down, her hands urgently trying to pry mine away from my abdomen, probably to see why I was clutching it so tightly.
