Valeria had looked beautiful on her wedding day, dressed in a white robe commissioned by Octavius himself as he watched her, with a veil over her face and flowers in her hair she had looked like the Goddess Venus herself. Octavius had celebrated their great day with a feast and kept Valeria by his side the whole time, both had to restrain themselves from once again laying together.

Valeria had been a graceful host, even with the lack of experience in such fancy settings, she held herself well, something Octavius would often compliment her on during the night. Neither of them had thought back at the conversation they had a fortnight ago, but the more Valeria had been alone, the more she thought about it.

What if she had not been able to grand him children, that no babe would quicken in her belly, perhaps that was a good thing, she could not imagine the types of lovemaking they could try with no consequences. She had heard the ladies in the bad house speak about how their husbands would never face them, placing them on their hands and knees as they were taken, roughly by the sounds of it. And while the women she met complained; Valeria was imagining it in a way that send her chills down her body.

Perhaps she could ask for it after the feast, she wondered if Octavius would like it was well. It stayed on her mind the remainder of the day, even when she stood in her room undressing herself until she remained only in her underclothes which she would wear to sleep.

"How did you like today?" Octavius asked, walking into the room, and standing behind her, resting his hands on her upper arms and his chin on her head. "I had a wonderful time, although I must say, it has not settled yet that we are now wed" she said, smiling to him through the mirror. Octavius kissed the top of her head, smiling as he did. "It will settle in, trust me" he said. "Did it for you already?" she asked turning around in the chair she sat on, and he nodded.

"I have waited my whole life to find you, I will never let go of that feeling, it only got stronger when they called us husband and wife" Octavius said and kissed her, gently and while she had felt the love he held in his kiss, she wished for more, she wished for the roughness the other ladies spoke off, to feel a pleasurable ache in her body after the events.

Octavius seemed to notice her change of mood. "Is everything alright, my love?" he asked as he scanned her face and she nodded before her face gave away her guilt for lying. "May I be truthful with you?" she asked, and his heart hammered in his chest expecting the worst of words to flow out of her mouth. "Of course, anything" he said resting his hands on her shoulders, his eyes frantically scanning her face.

She moved away from his hold, which did not make him feel any better, as he followed her, kneeling before her. "The ladies talked—"she started. "Please, do not listen to them, they are nothing but false gossip" he quickly said hoping they did not bring her down in any way, shape, or form. "No, it's not that. I know I should not listen to their gossip, but the conversation went to the wedding night and although we have laid together before and the wedding night will have no pain of the taking of my maidenhead, they did speak of how their husbands treat them" Valeria said as she fiddled with her fingers.
