𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 1

"𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊, 𝐈 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄 you all had a great summer. i know you all hate this but I've made some seat arrangements so everybody get up and look at the board for your new seats" the math teacher told the class, everyone groaned and got up.

I walked to the back near the big windows and sat on my new seat. I turned next to me and saw a boy with long hair, red low eyes, he looked unbothered and high out of his mind. I didn't realize I was staring for so long until he looked back at me and asked "why you watching mad face, ma?"

I didn't think anything of the name since almost every guy in harlem would call a girl 'ma'

"Sorry, just seeing who I gotta sit next to for the rest of the year" I explained, turning around in embarrassment. "what's ya name?" He asked "I'm Celine, you?" I said, turning back to him and returning the question "I'm ddot" he said before looking at me up and down.

"you new around here?" He asked, trying to continue the conversation "new to this school, yes. New to sugarhill, no" I answered, he nodded.

"so you ain't eva heard about me?" He questioned, more to himself then to me. "no, am i supposed to?" I tilted my head and asked "not really, no." He smiled and said, I smiled back.

"can i get ya numba?" He asked straight forward "I got a boyfriend" I said, giving him a sad smile. "You can't have friends?" He squinted his eyes and asked "oh, yeah of course. I thought it was meant in anotha way" I giggled. He gave me his phone and I put my number in, leaving the contact as '𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄🤍'

"You two done back there?" The teacher asked "oh, our bad" I said putting my head down and holding my mouth shut so not a tiny giggle could slip out, ddot doing the same.

Once class ended me and ddot said goodbye and went our separate ways.
