"You guys stay here. Katie and I will go in."
Nick grabbed my hand.
"Be careful. Please."
"I will." I smiled and got out of the car.
Katie quickly ran upstairs when I pulled the papers from my pocket and walked over to my parents.
"Finneas. Move."
"I need you both to sign this."
"What's it for?" My mother asked.
"I want custody of Katie."
"You're not taking Katie." My father said.
"She'll be better off with me, and you both know it."
"And where will you be staying with her?"
"A couple friends of ours are letting us move in."
"Rich, he's right. She's better off.."
My mom took the paper and signed it.
"Rich, sign it."
He ripped it from her hands and signed.
"Come back tomorrow for your shit, or it's getting burned in the fire pit."
"Got it. Katie you ready?"
Katie ran downstairs with her suitcase.
"Let's hit it."
I chuckled and we left.
"Finn, can I ask you something?"
"Yeah, always. What's up kid?"
"Are you dating Nick?"
"No. I'm not saying I don't want to, but no."
Katie smiled and got in the car.
"FINN IS IN LOVE WITH NICK!"
"What? I never said that. I- Kathryn Renee."
Nick was hiding under a smirk.
"I just wanna go home now."
I sunk into the chair like a child.
"Look at that. He's a bit old baby."
"I am not."
"Yes you are. I told you he was sensitive."
Nick looked at me and smiled making me feel even more stupid.
Matt and Chris chuckled in the front seat as we drove home.

"Alright, Katie go get dressed and ready for bed. It's like 12:00 and you've got school."
"Fine. Night Finn. Night Nick. Night Chris. Night Matt."
"Night kiddo."
Matt and Chris went into Chris's room leaving Nick and I in the living room alone.
"So.."
"So? That's all you got?" Nick said smiling.
"After the car ride here, what am I supposed to say. Katie exposed me and-" I stopped. "Nick? Are you alright?"
"Finn, I like you a lot. And I didn't think that you liked me either and when Katie exposed you I just-"
"Felt like you were gonna explode?"
"Yes that exactly." Nick let out a sigh of relief. "I can believe I actually told you that."
"I like you too, but you knew that thanks to Katie."
I smiled and Nick did something I 100% didn't expect. He pulled me close and kissed me. My heart was racing a million miles a minute. He placed his head gently on my shoulder.
