Pheonix Wright was finished with his conversation with Jon, he soon entered the second courtroom to see the gallery and the judge, standing on the opposite side in front of him was Miles Edgeworth his long-time friend and rival.

"I have an interesting client today Edgeworth," Pheonix told him, Edgeworth was a little confused yet interested in what his colleague meant by that, "Who is your client, Wright?" Miles asked Pheonix "My client is Jon Arbuckle." he told him, Miles faintly heard that name and so he decided to ask the Ace Attorney if this was the same Jon Arbuckle from the Garfield comics, Pheonix told the Ace Prosecutor that it was indeed true.

Miles was thrown back by this confirmation, "Why did Jon commit a crime that required our attention?" he asked Phenoix as the gallery was starting to talk, Liz and Lyman were amongst the people in the gallery, with Garfield and Odie sitting on each other's respective laps. "I wonder why Jon Arbuckle got in trouble." somebody next to Liz whispered to somebody else, the whispering scattered like toppled dominos.

The Judge soon smashed his gavel once with a rigorous pound, "Order in the Court!" he exclaimed "I never thought that I would be a witness in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see people from what we all thought was a different realm." he added forgetting that Lyman and Liz were visible amongst the entire court, even Pheonix and Miles were a little confused by the Judge's words looking back at the two and nodding. Liz and Lyman were slightly flustered.

"Are the prosecution and defence ready?" the Judge asked the duo. As if this was second nature to them and having done this for a long time Miles and Pheonix responded almost immediately with "The prosecution is ready, your honour" and "The defence is also ready your honour."

"The defendant for this case is Jon Arbuckle for the murder of Herman Post." the Judge told Pheonix and Miles, Miles committed to his duty as a prosecutor delivering the well-known phrase "The prosecution calls Mr Arbuckle to the stand." he declared.

Jon Arbuckle walked out of his seat and walked onto the witness stand, he was feeling quite nervous, and he saw Phoenix Wright on his right accompanied by Maya Fey, in front of him was the Judge, he feared that he would say something that would be used to arrest him and to the left was Miles Edgeworth staring at him as if he was wanted to lunge at him, although he felt a slight tinge of confidence when he saw Lyman and Liz's faces looking at him, he didn't feel so alone anymore.

"Mr Arbuckle, may you please state your occupation," Miles told him, Jon was not surprised in the slightest that Miles Edgeworth would ask for his occupation as he had played the Ace Attorney games quite frequently, and he decided to respond to his request to hopefully give him a break from all the troubles the other witnesses and defendants gave him.

"My occupation is a cartoonist, but I mostly play around with Garfield and Odie," Jon told him as Garfield and Odie were walking around the court hoping to not attract any attention from anyone. Miles was surprised yet pleased by this event "Thank you, Mr Arbuckle" Miles told him "(Finally, a worthy defendant who answered my question!)" he thought to himself.

Miles continued "Mr Arbuckle, you have been accused of the murder of Herman Post, may you please testify what happened before this event." Jon was not sure how to respond to this but he saw Liz and Lyman trying to talk to him, Liz was trying to tell him "Tell him what happened, you could no longer be guilty."

"I was preparing my date with Liz, and I drew some Garfield comics for the local newspaper, I didn't hear or feel anything off until the police came as Garfield was about to give his thoughts on my tie." He explained to the Ace Prosecutor. "Your tie was hideous, Jon that's why it took me a long time to respond." Garfield thought, Odie looked at him with a dirty look. "Don't look at me!" Garfield exclaimed to his canine companion.
