Child of Hazel and Cha Cha

The doughnut lady

You sat watching the show Hazel was watching while Cha Cha healed her wounds from last night,

"I don't understand how you watch this crap" Cha Cha said

"Yea it's kinda boring" you said sitting on the bed

"You don't find it interesting how ordinary people live their life, their agonizing over their kitchen cabinets as if the entire fate of the universe rests on whether  they choose azure blue or asparagus green" Hazel said watching the show

"and your point is" Cha Cha said annoyed

"sometimes theirs beauty in the mudane you know" Hazel said

"well then this is the most beautiful room I've ever seen" Cha Cha says sarcastically

"i think this is an ugly room" you said lightly bouncing on the bed and Cha Cha laughed at your comment then there was a whooshing sound and a metal clank,

You all looked over at the bathroom, you guys got up and it was a message sent by the commission Cha Cha grabbed it and you did your best to see on your tippy toes

"I wanna see" you said hopping and struggling to see, she the handed it to Hazel

"Let me see" you fuss dragging that last part out

"Just a second kiddo" Hazel said reading it closely

"Seven percent reduction in payment due to job delay, further reduction every 24 hours until job completion" Hazel said crumpling up the paper and you sighed never getting to see the paper

"That is just...i mean its only been one lousy day, let's see them get out from behind their desks and get their hands dirty for once" Hazel complains

"Damn lazy bastards" you said folding your arms and mumbling

"Are you two done" Cha Cha said looking at you two

"Yeah" you both said at the same time

"Well let's get back out there and kill this little shit" Cha Cha says

"Yea, let's kill him!" you said getting excited

"That's what I'm talking about, you should take lessons from the kid Hazel" he scoffed you looked at him with a confused expression

"Are you calling me not smart" You say sadly to Hazel

"What no, Cha Cha is just being mean" he said whispering the last part you laughed~

You were at Griddy's Doughnuts looking for information

"You two really love doughnuts don't you" Agnes said looking at you two

"Is there anything better in this world" Hazel said flirting with miss Agnes

"Oh yea there's lots of things" you said looking back at Hazel while taking a bite of your doughnut

"Well i guess i'm kinda biased seeing how i make them all day every day" Agnes says

"All day, every day, elaborate" he said but you piped in

"why do you always say that" You ask perking up

"Say what" Hazel said looking back at you

"eLaBoRaTe" you said trying to copy his voice he laughed at you

"I don't always say that, i don't even sound like that" Hazel chuckled

You nodded getting another bite of your doughnut, Agnes laughed

"Well...um I get here before suns up, i measure out the dry ingredients, i mix in the slurry real slow and load em all into the extruder" Agnus explained

"Whats an extruder" You said asking the woman

"Oh that's what makes them into the doughnut shapes, the real trick is i let them rise for about half an hour before i fry em up, that's what makes them so light and fluffy" Agnus says

"How come your so light and fluffy" Hazel asked the woman you sat looking confused

"How can you be light and fluffy" they laughed at your question

"Well i guess you are what you eat" Agnus says, you still looked confused

"Might i try a raspberry jelly" Hazel says

"Oh sure" Agnus says

"Me to, me to" you said standing up on your chair

"Yes of course" Agnus says with a giggle

"Y/n, sit down" Hazel said and picked you up, sitting you down

"The secrets in the jelly" she whispered

"Whats the secret" you asked

"The jelly"she said, you tilted your head like a dog

"No like, The secret" you said emphasizing the, but then Hazel interrupted you

"Agnes, beautiful name" you looked at him but went back to your doughnut

"Well thanks, it means pure" Agnus says

"Of course it does" Hazel said as they both laughed then Cha Cha came in from the bathroom and you waved, she smiled and waved back,

"So uh, is there anything you might be able to tell us about the night this place got shot up" Hazel asks Agnus

"Um well i mean, i already told the police everything i know, twice actually" Agnus says

"Do you remember the boy from that night" you asked her she smiled at you

"I didn't really notice him, to be honest him and his father sat right over there" Agnus said, and pointed

"That was definitely not his father" Cha Cha added in

"Were just concerned for his safety is all, its a dangerous world out there, wouldn't want anything bad to happen to him" Hazel says

"Are you with the police" she asked

"We were hired by his family to help get to the bottom of things" Cha Cha says

"So if there's anything you could tell us we'd really appreciate it" you said with a smile she recognized, you smiled just like that boy on the night the place got shot

"I-i'd really like to help, but i wouldn't know anything about that" she says and Cha Cha got mad and walked away

"Although, come to think of it there was one thing, he had a tattoo on his wrist, I mean who lets a kid get a tattoo" Agnus says

"Unbelievable" Hazle said

"Believable" you said smiling at him

"You mind drawing that tattoo" Cha Cha walks back and asks

"Sure yeah i can" and you watched as she drew the tattoo and gave us the paper, it was an umbrella?

"Thank you" you said grabbing the drawing and Hazel helped you off the stool and you three walked out and drove back to the apartment, getting things ready you knew what you had to do now~
