See you soon does sound better than goodbyes.

Rosa’s day was going bad and it became worse when she had to do overtime,because of which she again missed watching the latest episode of the cooking show she likes,

And the daily bus she takes to go back to her one-room apartment.

Now she was waiting for another bus on the bus stop near her office listening music and trying to forget about the whole day.

As she was warming up to the music and was trying to see the bright side of things.

A hand landed on her shoulder.

And without giving any second thought to what she was doing, she splashed water from the bottle she was opening to drink water.

“Wait” the person shouted.
But she had already started running.

“I was only trying to remove the bug and wanted to ask if there is any bus for 10th street left to come,
You were not listening that’s why I thought to remove the bug myself”.
He finished saying all of that in one breath trying to explain his intention.

Rosa didn’t hear any footsteps following her.

So she turned around when she was a bit far from the bus stop but close enough that she heard what the person said to her.

And she saw the person was standing at the bus stop removing his sweatshirt which was now wet.
Her mother always told her not to drink cold water in winters it would harm her, she never thought it would
harm another person whom she has just met and from whom she was trying to run far away.

“Trust me I won’t hurt you. I was just trying to know about the, he sneezed twice in a row “bus” he finished
saying.

Rosa felt bad for the person but didn’t move from her place and answered
“There is no bus left to come for 10th street, and just saying I carry pepper spray and chilli spray with me”
she said in a threatening voice.

“Thanks for the information about the bus and the.. two kinds of sprays, he paused for a moment.

And continued “I am not just saying but can assure you, I will not harm you in any way and I have learned my lesson, that if somebody doesn’t
listen to me when I am calling them from behind I should go in front of them and ask again but never in any condition put my hand on their shoulders”

He sneezed again.

“He can’t get that sick just because I splashed some water on him right?”, Rosa thought while eyeing the
person wearing all black.

Even if he came in front of her to ask about the bus she definitely would have thrown water right on his face was the conclusion she got from her observation.

“I am sorry it’s just that I thought it was somebody bad and now you are sneezing because of the water…, I
mean because of me although, there was not much water left in the bottle when you know”,Rosa said trying to sound sorry and failing at it.

“It’s ok and am not sneezing because of you or the little amount of water, I already had cold and was going
back home after buying medicines for the same,” he said and showed the medicines which were out of focus from Rosa’s eyes till now.

Now she felt bad for him and wanted to apologize.

“Um it’s not much but you can take this scarf it will keep you warm,” she finally said in the form of an apology
and offered her bright yellow scarf while walking towards the person.

“No I am fine,” he said as a protest for not taking the scarf.
But Rosa reached him before he could even complete his sentence.

“Your action doesn’t support your words so take it. Sorry I didn’t ask for your name,” she said after
handing him the scarf.
