where did it all go wrong?

"seolhee-ya, from now on, don't go near me at school. don't approach me. don't call my name. i don't want to see you." the cruel words sent shivers down seolhee's skin. she always thought that her sister was embarrassed of her, because they were from two different fathers. or maybe her sister hated her. but as seolhee got older, she wished she noticed sohee's hidden scars earlier, maybe none of this would've happened. right?

"seolhee, please put down your recorder during class. yesterday your homeroom teacher reached out to me saying you were using it during class." a mother in the morning, signs at the younger sibling during breakfast. their table was small, it consists of three chair for three people only. the one missing from the table was only yoon sohee, the older sister. "where is your sister?" the mother asks again using sign language. seolhee just shrugs, having no clue at all. "she went off early, i think."

the young and passionate seolhee, arrived at school just by walking alone. sometimes she missed the days when she and sohee would walk together, do things together, and overall stayed by her side. but now, she completely built a wall over her and isolates herself from the rest of the family. seolhee thought that it might be her fault, but later it was much much worse than that.

as always, she sees her sister trailing into the gym where she's always at. seolhee must've thought that it was her favorite place, so she never really questioned it neither follow her to talk about it. she knew that it would just make things worse by intruding someone's privacy. then, she crossed path with her sister, sohee not even looking once at her younger sibling. it aches seolhee's heart seeing them grow apart.

seolhee then took her camera from her bag and decided to go through the memory files. she played a video. a video of her and sohee, together. it was recess, and they were both at the rooftop talking about their own secrets that no single soul knew. but maybe sohee missed one more secret she's planning to hide. the video itself brought her into tears. where did it all go wrong? they were perfect and happy before.

as she arrived in the classroom, she never forgets to turn around and shot a smile at dongeun. they never really talk, but they always greet each other. apart of her wants to be friends with dongeun, but the other half of her was shy. seolhee was an introvert, making friends was hard for her. hence, she always brought a camera with her so she can be less lonely by looking at her favorite people smiling in it.
