It feels like it's been only a few minutes and feeling begins creeping back into my limbs.

Are we there? The new planet?

A terrifying thought crossed my mind.

What if it really has been only a few minutes and my chamber isn't t working?

What if I have to go through the process again?

I shudder, well, I would shudder if I could, at the thought the tubes being forced down my throat.

Feeling creeps through my fingers and toes and then up my arms and legs.

A surge of panic hits me.

They didn't tell us how to get out of the chamber.

I begin to flail, well, sort of.

My limbs are stiff from being frozen.

I suddenly get the urge to breathe.

The presence of tubes down my throat makes itself known and I can't breathe.

I try to move my arms to them but the sealed top of the chamber prevents me from reaching my face.

My eyes are still sealed shut but I hear through muffled ears the first sound I've heard in ages.

The welcome sound o the lid being lifted.

My arms fly to my face and meet another hand.

I ignore them and begin to try to yank on he tubes, only to feel sharp pain inside me.

"Hold on, honey," a kind voice says. I can't tell if it is male or female.

"I have to detach them from your organs."

Suddenly it feels like something is released inside me and my heart pumps rapidly, warming me with my blood.

I yank the tubes out and take a gasping breath.

I cough out a cold liquid and it splashes into the melted pool of liquid I'm sitting in.

I take gasping breaths and rub my eyes until I'm able to force them open.

Everything is blurry for a second before clearing.

Looking around, I'm in a room full of tall empty shelves.

The boxes are all on the floor.

People are waking up and are trapped in the boxes.

I don't even think about my nakedness, several people are running around in the nude helping people out of their boxes.

Others are like me and slowly sitting up in their box and looking around confused.

Some people just get dressed slowly, in a daze.

I hear pounding next to me. The lid is closed on the next one over.

I leap out of my box with a splash and look at the lid.

There's one big knob that I twist. The lid comes free.

Then I find the button that I guess releases the tubes from the organs and push that.

The person inside begins moving around and I see them rip out their tubes.

I turn around and begin to help other people around me.

People waking up see what is going on. The smart ones help, the not-so-smart ones sit around and watch.

I see arms flailing in an open box and run over.

Inside a girl about my age is tugging at her tubes, fighting for a breath.

Someone forgot to push the detach button.

I smack it and rip the tubes from her mouth and she sucks in a breath.

"There you go," I tell her as she pants. Then I go off to help others.

If there's 3,000 on the ship and only a few are helping then there are going to be a lot more that need help.

I find another closed box but hear nothing from inside.

I tear it open and hit the button. The young man inside doesn't move.

I pull the tubes out. Nothing.

I hit his chest. Now is one of those times I wish I had learned CPR.

"Somebody help me over here! He's not breathing!" I shout to the fellow passengers.

A middle aged Asian man runs over.

"Can you help? He isn't breathing?" I say frantically.

The man doesn't understand me. Of course not, he's from the other side of the world.

He leans in and begins to perform CPR.

The man begins coughing and coughs up the blue liquid all over himself.

The Asian man runs off. I wonder who he was, before this.

I help the man in the chamber get up.

"Thank you," he says while catching his breath.

I nod. "Are you alright?"

"Am now, thanks to you."

I blush. "I should go help the others."

He nods. He seems completely unfazed by everyone's nakedly.

I find this weird for a moment before realizing, so am I, and so is almost everyone else.

I continue helping others until I'm too exhausted to go on.

I find my chamber amidst all of the others and put on my clothes.

It's hard to believe it's really been 5 million years, the clothes look exactly as they did when I took them off. They even have that clean smell they had.

This bag is all I have left of home. I put it on my back and join the growing crowd by a wall.

Murmurs spread through the people like wildfire.

"Where is everyone?"
"Did we make it?"
"Is this the planet?"

These are said with fearful and curious tones. Other things are in other languages.

"Dónde estamos?"

Other people are crying, including me. They sob, but my tears are silent.

I want my mom. I want my family, I want my home.

I want Earth.
