You stormed into the prison, catching the attention of both Daryl and Beth.
Daryl's expression carried more than a hint of guilt, while Beth offered you a serene smile.
"(Y/n), I-I can explain," Daryl stammered, but you interrupted him"You couldn't just have one sister huh??? And Isn't she a little young for you Daryl?!"
You exclaimed, packing your belongings in a matter of minutes."(Y/n) wait." Daryl tried to explain himself to you, but you wanted no part of it.
"Just give me some space, I need to think"
You quickly walked away, trying to hold back a flurry of emotions.Moving into the cell adjacent to Rick and Carl's, you settled onto your new bed.
Overwhelmed, hot tears streamed down your face, and the emotional dam finally broke. Uncontrollable sobs echoed in the confined space. You shoved your head in your pillow, trying not to alert anyone to your sadness.
Hearing footsteps approach you, you lifted your tear-streaked face
"I told you I need some space Dar-"
But there you found Rick,
standing at the entrance of your cell."Hey, (Y/n), I overheard what happened... Are you okay?" he inquired. A silent nod conveyed your distress.
Rick approached you, enveloping your body in a comforting bear hug, his large hand gently patting your back.
Offering solace, Rick asked, "Do you want to be alone?"
A shake of your head no expressed your desire for his company.
He joined you on the bed, wrapping his arm around your shoulders. Tears continued to flow as you sought refuge in Rick's comforting embrace. You were trying so hard to just forget about Daryl, at least until you had to face him for a conversation.Rick's shirt absorbed your tears as he held you close. Continuing to rub your back, Rick comforted your pain as you slowly succumbed to sleep, cradled in the protective arms of Rick Grimes.
