Hello my dear Readers! I am excited to announce the rewrite of Her Gentle Villain. You may be wondering why I am making a rewrite, but believe me when I tell you there were a LOT of problems with the original. These problems go from pacing to continuity errors. I do hope this will be much more enjoyable and readable. I will also be using they/them pronouns for [Name].
Please note that updates will most likely take a bit to produce. I know you don't want to hear me complain about why, so I'll just tell you about the upcoming story.
First things first, I have no clue what I'm doing with this story. Honestly, I'm just creating scenes when they come into my head and I'm writing down things that may not make sense or seem like their just filler, and they most likely will be, but please bare with me. I never have a graphic organizer or plan it out, I just have the characters in my head and what their purpose to the story is. I will put them where I think they should be or they could just be there as a sort of side character, or they may become more important to the story, I'll decide later. I might also add a few plot lines that branch off of the main story because the world doesn't revolve around the main character 🙂 though I am sorry if it doesn't make sense, I will try my hardest to explain and incorporate reasoning behind it.
Second, I might not follow the same story as before, I may include little things, such as some events of the first chapter, but almost everything after that will be a different story. The pacing in the first story was incredibly quick and it felt rushed, as if I was making a one-shot book, but it was part of one story. I'm hoping to make this story atleast twenty chapters or more instead of nine. I know the story was only made two years ago, but I feel like I've grown as an author, but I still have room to grow. You do not need to read the original and I advise you DON'T read the original as it may confuse you when things in this story don't happen like they did in the original. I'll leave the original up if you really want to read the cringe of a child, but if you don't want to, don't.
Third, I will most definitely add references in this book so if you want to call it out go ahead, I know the feeling of excitement when something you like is mentioned, so go crazy. Feel free to comment on anything, spelling errors, continuity errors, wrong names, etc. I want this to be an awesome story that everyone will want to read. Please don't be rude to anyone in the comments (unless it's characters in the book go right ahead) and make sure to be positive. If you don't agree with someone, PLEASE have a civil conversation 😭🙏 or don't, it'll be funny to read, so do whatever, but don't bully or hate on them.
Fourth, if their is any character you would like me to make a story about, I will gladly make a one-shot book and tag you in the chapter. But be warned, if they are a toxic person in this story, they will most likely be toxic in the one-shot.
Fifth, I will include warnings at the top of each chapter if there is any, so don't worry about that.
