Nobody's P.O.V
(Author Note: Anything in Italics is Na'vi language)
- 3 months later
It took a long time, but Quaritch has finally decided on their next target: a sea clan. Ordinarily, Quaritch would have Spider translate for him, but he reasoned that if it was another Na'vi speaking to them, they might listen. Of course, he wasn't stupid, and he told you that if it even appeared that you were asking for aid, he'd kill everyone, and you wouldn't allow that happen. Besides, after Heta and Marco's abuse and torture, you were in no condition to fight and try to escape. What was left for you after what they had done to you? It's not like you can be mated, so screw it. Who would want to be with you now, even if you could? You were now Heta and Marco's, and they made it a point to remind you of that every day. Marco was occasionally nice, sneaking you more food or sleeping with you if you had nightmares. Even on days when Heta beat you, Marco would come in and tell him they had things to do, and it almost made you think Marco cared about you, but that feeling vanished when you realized he was simply doing it for himself. He reasoned that if he could convince you that he was a good guy, you'd love him more than Heta and wouldn't fight him. This crushed you after all those nights he'd soothed you; it was only for his benefit, not yours; he never cared how you felt; he was only doing it for himself. You were sitting in your corner, resting against the wall, waiting for Quaritch to come get you so you could translate for him. You'd become so accustomed to the tiny white room after spending so much time in it that you'd forgotten what anything else looked like. There were no windows, so you couldn't even look outside and admire Pandora's lovely sky. The forest you had lived in was nearly a blur, but you recalled what the spirit tree looked like and what your family looked like, so that was all you needed.
Quaritch gathered you and a couple of his men, and the plane was already on the ground. The platform opened as it touched down, showing a lovely village on the ocean's edge. Your eyes gleamed at the scene in front of you as you remembered how lovely Pandora was. You watched a swarm of light blue Na'vi charge up to the airplane, halting barely a few feet away and wielding various weapons. A man stood in front of them. He had to be one of the most attractive Na'vi you could imagine; he had the insignia and aura of a chief. Quaritch pushed you forward with the tip of his gun as he walked down from the plane. You raised your hands to demonstrate that you intended no harm, but Quaritch and his soldiers came down with rifles aimed at the Na'vi.
"Please tell your people to lower their weapons and lay down; these are sky people in Na'vi bodies, and they will harm you all," you warn the chief.
He groans. "Your guns have been pulled against my people. I will not do anything like that."
One of the Quaritch men fires half his clip while shooting in a line a few feet ahead of the Na'vi, prompting them to back up and hiss.
"Tell him I don't have all day, so either they get down or I start firing these blue fuckers," Quaritch replies, shoving you slightly.
"Those were warning shots, so please pay attention and get down. He'll start shooting your people if you don't. He just wants to ask you a couple of questions before we depart. Nobody should be harmed." With begging eyes, you say it.
The chief stares at the firearms, then back at his people, motioning them to the ground. He kneels in front of his people, and they do the same. Quaritch's men surround the first half of the group, pointing their rifles at them. Quaritch brings you in front of the chief and forces you to kneel in front of him.
"Now ask him where your family is, and remember that any misbehavior on your part, and all these people's blood will be on your hands." According to Quaritch. You sigh and roll your eyes.
"He wants to know if Jake Sully or any of his family members are staying here; if not, where are they?"
"I have no knowledge of this Jake Sully or his family." Looking up at Quaritch, he says.
"He claims he has no idea who they are or where they are." You say it again to Quaritch, who doesn't appear satisfied with your response.
Quaritch nods to a female soldier before shooting the Na'vi kneeling next her. All of the Na'vi screamed and cried, including you. You leap to your feet and shove Quaritch, causing him to stumble as a result of the unexpected action. He resumes his firm stance and lashes you in the face with the butt of his rifle. You collapse to the ground, clutching your head as the pain intensifies. The chief's wife crawls to your side to check on you, while the rest of the Na'vi gaze in disbelief. The chief tackles Quaritch as they both start wrestling on the ground. Heta points his rifle at the chief, but he is tackled by one of the reef na'vi, and as he falls to the ground, he mistakenly shoots another na'vi who is kneeling. As you try to stay conscious, a fight breaks out between the water Na'vi and sky people. Before, everything turns black, you recall someone lifting you up and taking you away from the fight.
