Dick ran through the streets of Gotham with a knapsack over his shoulders all he had chanting through his head was When I get to Wally I can cry and find my peace, I just need Wally. He ran into the alleyway skidding to a stop in front of the Zeta Tube and typing in his designation and destination he soon started to run through the Zeta, when he was released from the bright light he took off again though this time through the streets of Key Stone.

When he reached the main road, he took turned in the direction of Wally's high school. Running around the pedestrians that were enjoying the warm spring weather, they looked at Dick with disdain for bumping into them and pushing them out of his way in his panic to reach Wally. When he finally saw the tan building he put on more speed just as he heard their final bell till, signaling the end of their day of school. Standing on the side walk, panting for breath still in his Gotham Academy uniform, tears staining his cheeks wet, and his eyes red, making his cobalt blue color pop, students started to spill from the doors of the building. It only took a few minutes before Wally walked out with some of his friends that Wally's emerald eyes locked onto his sobbing friend.

Quickly excusing himself from his Key Stone friends, Wally quickly made his way to his friend. Cupping Dick's face in his hands he gently questioned his friend what happened.

"He- he- he fire-he fired me." Dick hyperventilated out.

Bristling Wally asked, "What?"

" He fired me! B, fired me!" Body wracking sobs broke from him and Wally wrapped the distraught boy into his arms.

"Oh Dick, I'm so sorry."

"He was ma- mad that I told that that I needed a brea- break for a little bit." He dug his head into Wally's shoulder . "What's wrong with me? What did I do wrong?"

"Nothing, Dee, you did nothing wrong." Wally wrapped his arms tighter around his friend and looked at his class mates around him, they were looking on, some in concern, others with humor, and the rest with confusion. "There's no reason he should have fired you."

"Am I a horrible son? I told him that I wasn't feeling like it would be safe for me to be out on the streets. We started to argue, and then he told me I was fired, Walls he took my colors! He dewinged me!"

Clenching his eyes closed to keep his tears at bay he spoke softly, " You're not a horrible son, any man would be proud to have you as a son. I'm sure John was proud of you when he was alive, I'm sorry that Bruce has taken your colors and wings away from you, he had no right to do that."

"I don't understand! Yes, our fights have started to get physical leaving each other with bruises and sprains, as well as excessively verbal, but," Dick pulled back from Wally. "Why did he do it? Getting benched I can understand, but to take the last thing that I had from my family and- and to just throw it away and kick me out of the manor? I don't understand!" The sobbing teen dug his head back into Wally's shoulder, his sobs picking up again, and gaining volume.

"Oh Dee," Wally murdered, weaving his fingers in between the gelled back curls, tightening his hold on Dick, as he seethed with anger at the words that were processing in his head. "Would you like to stay with me at Uncle Barry's and Aunt I's for the next few days?"

Nodding, Dick quietly asked, "Please?"

"Of course, I'll just have to shoot them a text."

Pulling out his phone, Wally used his super speed to type out his text to Barry and Iris explaining Dick's predicament and asking if the boy could stay with them before sending it out. He received two quick texts in succession after the other both saying one thing:

Yes.

"Come on, let's go to Aunt I's and Uncle Barry's." Pulling away he held into Dick's hand, Wally's classmates, catching a glimpse of Dick's uniforms crest. Gotham Academies crest. Pulling off his jacket, Wally wrapped it around the distraught boy covering up the prestigious academy's crest, they began to make their way down the streets. Wally kept a protective arm around the boy, glaring at the people that looked at Dick with a look that wasn't friendly.

Walking through the streets, Dick's sobs ebbed to soft sniffles with tears continuing to stain his cheeks, his blue eyes stood out because of the red that was surrounding them.

In the walk to the Zeta Tube, Dick's sobs would pick up to body wracking breaths. "I don't understand, Wally. He leaves me in the Manor by myself, and then he expects me to follow him, to where I'll do anything for him. And I will! Wally, what's wrong with me?"

Wally's temper was beginning to boil, how could Bruce do this to him? To his best friend? To twist and manipulate the boy he swore to protect into his soldier, twisted the last Grayson into his lap dog. Wally was pissed.

When they in put their designation and location they walked through and soon continued their way to Iris's and Barry's. "There's nothing wrong with you Dick, there's absolutely nothing wrong with you."

The two boys proceeded to walk in silence, when they reached the house Wally led Dick to his room where they could lay down and Dick could get comfortable.

Wally sat on the edge of his bed and pulled the crying teen towards him, holding him as his tears seemed to ebb for the final time. Wally pulled them further up the honey mustard sheet clad bed, turning on The Little Mermaid on his laptop when Dick fell asleep his head on Wally's lap.

It was during the second movie that Wally's door opened, Barry poking his head in, seeing Dick resting on Wally's lap, Wally intensely watching the screen the sounds from the speaker soon being recognized as Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Mans Chest.

"Is he doing okay?" Barry asked his nephew softly as to not wake the sleeping Boy Wonder.

Looking up, Wally pressed the space bar as he responded, "Better then when he was at the school."

Pause.

"Barry?"

"Yeah, Kid?"

"What will happen with him if Bruce won't take him back in?"

"We take him in, or someone in the League will."

Wally's eyes filled with tears, "I can't loose my best bud, and with what I've heard of Gotham, if he gets taken from Bruce, I'll never see him again."

"That won't happen kid, I won't let it." Barry said, his blue eyes looking into Wally's as Wally seemed to calm down from the anxiety that he had been harboring before looking down at Dick, running his fingers through his curls, and playing his movie again. Taking it as his dismissal, Barry left the boys to their own and went downstairs to wait for Iris.

Ta-da! For 1207 words it only took me two days to vomit out. And most of this was when J was crying because I was feeling really down... If I see any writing prompts I'll write them, put some in the comments and I'll do my best to write them, though I will be honest I'm still in the middle of my first time through Supernatural and I'm just getting to the second season of Teen Wolf. So, I can't make any promises that any fics of those will be any good!

Farewell!! (Off topic but Farewell Wanderlust by The Amazing Devil is a really good song)
