Look upon me, what do you see?
a girl with a pretty face
not a care in the world
no pain of heart or torture of soul
Just a head held high
in her own little world.
You know nothing.
Look upon me, what do you see?
see that scared girl?
the one told lies
the one that is broken,
and left to the creatures without compassion
the ones who will strike where it hurts
a stake driven strait threw her kind heart.
You know something.
Look upon me, what do you see?
shy and quite
to finally be loud
a voice waiting to be heard.
squished down for months
to a murmer
to strangers
eyes turned down
unwanted in her own class.
You know most.
Look upon me, what do you see?
teased for her best friend
who she would never give up
hurt hidden beneath
a forced smile and stern voice
against the sneering faces
with the loud arguments
every day... For how much longer?
You know everything.
