LORRAINE BLACK alway dreamed of being the worlds best hero, and obviously if you possess the powers that she does, you'd probably want to be that too. When Lorraine was a kid her mother told her that her abilities were a blessing. But screw that. She hated them, in all honesty, she doesn't even want them.
She's overwhelmed with them. Though she can control them, sometimes she lets her emotions take over. When she was a teenager she couldn't control the powers at all. But she had help.
It was a dark night and Lorraine was walking by herself when a guy came up to her, "hey sweet cheeks, where you heading." He smirked while getting in her face. She immediately looked up and said, "leave me alone." In a tired voice. But he kept going after her. "C'mon pretty girl. It's a dark night after all." He grabbed her, making her grab his wrist, making a red hue pop up and he stood still in shock. The girls eyes immediately began glowing red, "I said, Leave. Me. Alone." She then let go and he went limp.
Unbeknownst to the girl, a boy around her age watched from afar. He walked behind her slowly until she sensed him, she turned around and tilted her head. "What? You come harassing me too? Huh." She told. He started shaking his head and slowly began walking close to her. She looked him up and down and slightly smiled. She didn't think he look that bad.
"So? What do you want?" She asked with a sarcastic tone. He stuck his hand out and said "my name is Richard Grayson, but I go by Dick, saw what you did to that guy over there, I'm impressed." She looked him up and down again and smiled. "Thanks, dick."
Right before she was allowed to walk away, immediately shouted, "and your name?" She stopped and turned around again, "Lorraine, Lorraine black." She smiled at him. He smiled back, "will I see you again?" She giggled at the question, her face feeling hot. She shrugged with a little smile, "maybe."
Dick smiled at her and nodded, "well then, see you around, Lorraine Black." And with that he turned around and walked away. Lorraine couldn't help but look down and smile, for once someone wasn't scared of her abilities. They ended up meeting up again and again and again. They ended up becoming best friends, and they both hoped they were something more.
They had a type of relationship that they felt like they were together, though they did share a kiss at one point. It all ended when Dick left without saying goodbye.
Lorraine couldn't help but smile at memories. She missed him, she really did. But she was mad. More than mad. She was hurt.
Lorraine was currently watching the news and eating strawberries in a bowl, on her couch.
But then, the doorbell rang.
She was confused at who wanted to visit her at this time. Taking a deep breath, she walked to the door. Her hand wrapped the handle and opened the door to see who it was.
But once she opened the door, she was unprepared to see Richard Grayson's face again.
She stared at him, mouth agape and she felt as if she couldn't breath. "Dick.." she muttered as he couldn't help but smile at how pretty she was.
When he saw her for the first time again, he felt like he was meeting her again all over the place. "Lore." He muttered, looking at her, worried at what was going to happen next.

Hi everyone, so I am just now adjusting to the fact that I had lost my previous account and now I'm writing more stories, planning more ahead. And I made my TikTok account again. So like- lovely_wp6 is the acc name.
Anyways, I had been planning on making this book for a while now, but I never had enough time to think it through and now I do . Hope you enjoy this first chapter. Thank you for all the support.
